We are picky about our coffee and were spoiled at the Coronado with the K-cup machines so we could bring what we like. Staying at Pop and I remember that their machine has the little round packets. Does anyone know what they are and/or if they are available for private purchase?

Our last stay at Pop I would say the coffee in room was undrinkable for us and we don't like the stuff in the food court - which means lines at Starbucks. Would rather bring our own coffee brand and then go straight to the park.

As of my stay a few weeks ago, I think it was Joffrey's in my room. The Mom Parks Panel thing agrees with me: https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney.go.com/question/coffee-pots-rooms-pop-century-404980/

Generally, most coffee on property is Joffrey's. The problem is whether or not the person in the kitchen knows how to brew it. I don't mind it or the brown water in the food court. I'd rather drink moldy ashtray water than starbucks. 🤮

Gather 'round for my old-timey Gen X'er story..... about real coffee shops....

I wasn't able to find much at amazon for this style of pod (my wife and I prefer flavored coffees). I did find this on Amazon though:

The salted caramel mocha was pretty good, and worked perfectly in the coffee maker. And just an FYI, if you have the refillable mugs, one full mug will make 2 cups of coffee :). I would get fresh water from the soda dispensers every night to have ready for the morning (make sure to clear the line for a second or two to clear out any syrup).

Pop Century resides next to AoA and while we were in the Cars Suites at AoA, my room had a pod maker with the slide-out tray that the pod fit into. I assume PC would be similar. Water is poured into the reservoir and it was chirping it was complete within 2 minutes. The pods themselves were a 90th Anniversary Mickey Blend by Joffrey's.

My only gripe was that when our room attendant would come through I had to resort to leaving him friendly notes, written by my daughter, to refill the pods. If no note, no new pods were left, even though clearly my room was one fully utilizing the small coffee bar provided. Just one of those nagging pet peeves.

The brown liquid in the Landscape of Flavors was hot, but tasted oddly burnt on most mornings. I still choked it down. I didn't really mind when Nescafe used to be present...

Funny, I've also noticed that sometimes housekeeping doesn't refill the coffee items. When possible, I've been an obvious slob about it by leaving the empty coffee drawer open. Worst case scenario, I call housekeeping and complain.....

Makes me wonder, are standards lax? Do they have an actual checklist? Is it not comprehensive? Or is management actively encouraging the cutting of corners? Either way, this would be a very embarrassing episode of Hotel Impossible for the mouse....

Oh, lack of coffee pod replacement is the mildest of issues a hotel can have. Can't imagine they would care or even be embarrassed that a housekeeper didn't leave it in a room.

That said, it's hit and miss in all hotels, Disney or otherwise. When we've been over at Hard Rock I'm about 50/50 on getting more coffee on a given day. Marriott we use in Scottsdale is slightly better. I've yet to stay multiple nights in a hotel where at least one day wasn't missed.

No idea why replenishing coffee is so hit and miss. Maybe it's the last thing they do and just forget a lot? Maybe only other coffee drinkers get how much it's needed and really pay attention?

This is helpful - I didn’t know what the pods were called. This should work great

I am picky about my coffee...so much so, that i refuse to use the coffee makers in the rooms. Normally i will abstain from coffee the entire trip, but when i really feel like a coffee, I will wait until i get to starbucks in the parks (not my fave, but it'll do), or Joffrey's. Never in my room or at the resort. Anyway, I have pics of the coffee available at Pop. Just have to dig it up. Stay tuned! :)

Sorry to pop into this thread - but the values have coffeemakers in the rooms now?! I don't like having to get ready and trek to the food court for my very first cup, that always bugged me about the values. Is it just Pop Century that has this? Staying at Sports in January so I'm intrigued!

The values that have been refurbed do. So All Star Movies, a handful of rooms at Music(refurb in progress) and Pop.

Why's that? The coffee in the rooms and at the resorts is Joffrey's

I dont know why....i just dont like it. It doesnt taste exactly the same as the actual Joffrey's kiosk in the park for example. Not to me anyway. I told you, Im very picky. :teeth: Most of the time i'll just stay away from coffee while at disney.

Obviously you can function without coffee, LOL
I have learned to play with the amount of water (bottled only by the way) when brewing to make it taste drinkable.

Yes, i can totally function without coffee. I drink it daily, but only because i enjoy the taste. Coffee does NOT keep me awake/wake me up in the mornings. It does nothing for me. Its sheer pleasure. :)
PS: Yes i too would use bottled water for the in-room coffee maker. Without a doubt!

I have always found that to be true, ever since the coffee makers were put in the rooms. When I needed coffee supplies, I always had to leave a note on the table in front of the coffee maker, written in big letters "COFFEE SUPPLIES". As you said, no note, no supplies.
