Is there a coffee pot in the room at the Portofino? If so, do they give you a filter for every day? What about coffee? I was going to bring filters and coffee but since we are flying I would like to bring as little as possible. Thanks!

Yes, there is a coffee pot in the Portofino. They were just upgraded to the Keurig pod style pots in November. Don't bring standard filters and coffee as it won't work in the pod pots.

They give you a variety of pods including Emeril's coffee and different teas.

They refill the pods every day.

Here is a YouTube video of how it works. (You can find anything on YouTube, can't you :goodvibes )

Yes, we used this coffee maker during our stay at HRH a couple of weeks ago. I liked the Keurig so much, I just bought myself one for my office. The one they sell is much larger than the one at the resort. I would've preferred a smaller one like the resort offered. I love new toys!

we alway bring dunkin donuts coffee and extra filters??/

I thought I read that even RPH had the Keurig. You can not use regular coffee and filters with the Keurig machine. Did you request a regular coffee pot??

when i call to request a room#

My daughter's othodontist has a Keurig in his waiting room with a vast selection of the little cups needed to make coffee in this pot.

Hygentist said that you can buy a special filter and use your own grounds.

I checked it out today at Bed Bath and Beyond and it is called "My K cup" and it was 14.99 You would just bring your own ground coffee.

Ebay also has several listed.

Bed bath and Beyond also sold the coffee pod cups that fit into the Keurig and there were many brands to choose from, Caribou, Newmans Own, Emerils, etc. They were all 9.99 for 18 little cups. So if you just wanted to bring extra cups you could.

I don't think it makes a very good cup of coffee in my opinion. It just has kind of an "instant" taste to it rather than strong brewed. Of course, coffee, I am very picky about. I am not a starbucks gal, but I did not care for the coffee out of the Keurig.

well, its a whole lot better than what you get at disney.
that nescafe is awful..........

i drink 3 pots of coffee a day.
even when it is hot outside.

For whatever it's worth, I requested a regular coffee pot at the portofino and they delivered it right away--no problems.

I tried the pods--not bad but I am a coffee snob and I love my french roast!!
