Was it just me, or does the coffee at WDW need improvement?

I had coffee from AS Sports food court and 8 TS restaurants. It tasted the same everywhere. I drink my coffee black, so it's easy to for me to compare.

I am not a coffee snob, but I would think that they could at least match the coffee at the local Dunkin donut, Wawa, or other mini mart.

It's Nescafe, that's why it stinks.

Only places that serve a pretty decent cup are at Kona and Boma, I believe. The rest is icky.

Disney is going to be switching from Nescafe to Yuban. Starbucks offered a similar structured eal like they have with Coke and Disney turned them down :rolleyes1

The Swan and Dolphin serve Starbucks coffee. You can get it in their refillable mug.:)

I think the Kona Cafe' has the best coffee on property. Other than that, I think it is all the Nescafe'.

Sugar Mouse, How is the Yuban? Have you ever had it? I don't think I have ever even heard of it. :sunny:

Yuck, Yuck, Yuck, Yuck

Icky onsite coffee everywhere, IMO (haven't tried some of the nicer restaurants).

Oh - wait - CRT was pretty good, if I remember correctly. Comparable to Cracker Barrel or Denny's anyway :)

Any idea when they are going to start the Yuban switch over, and does that include the resort food courts also?

Actually, I am a coffee snob. That being said, the coffee at Artist Point is quite decent, though I'm unsure what they use there. However, it's served via a French press, right at tableside, so it was fresh and hot and dark. Most of the other stuff they try to pass as coffee at counter service places, snack bars, and grills is pure swill. That's why when I travel, I usually bring along a small grinder, my own whole beans, and either buy half-and-half or "borrow" some from snack bars (I don't do creamer, either--that stuff is plain nasty). Good luck in your searching! :earsboy:

The coffee at Kona is wonderful. I too am a coffee snob as my husband keeps rubbing in, and I love their coffee. It's rich and strong -nothing like nescafe I promise!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! :sad2:
Yuban aint no better than Nescafe!!!

Has disney ever heard of Maxwell House? Folgers? Savarin? 8'oclock? Dunkin Doughnuts? All much better coffees without going to more expensive designer labeled coffee!

We all need to keep complaining to Disney and maybe they'll get the message. WE WANT DECENT COFFEE!!!! With all the money we spend you would think they could spend just a penny or two more to get it for us.

There is a coffee bar at the Contemporary that serves "real" coffee.

Personally, I refuse to purchase any more refillable mugs at the resorts until they get decent coffee. Breakfast is the only time I use the mug, and if I can't get good coffee, I guess I'll drink juice. (I'm sure Disney is crying, since they probable make more $$ off of a weeks worth of juice than on the mugs anyway!!)

I agree. When we are paying over 200.00/night for a room, we expect decent coffee. Folgers or Maxwell House would be an improvement.

I know that the Marketplace at BC now serves brewed coffee. Perhaps the other CS places will be changing too.

I'm mosly a tea drinker but do enjoy the coffee at Kona.

Disney turned Starbucks down in favor of Yuban??? What are they smokin?
I'll be taking my own starbucks beans with me on our trip.

The really sad thing is - resort coffee USED TO BE the best in the world - I ALWAYS bought the refillable mugs. Then they went to nescafe. I see I'm not the only one who calls it swill.
