I saw the loose tea thread and realized I should order some coffee online. It has been months since I have had a good cup of coffee.:guilty:

What are some good places to look? I know there are some DISers out there who use good beans and are able to help me.;)

How about I send you some coffee if you send me some chocolate?! ;)

I was just singing the praises of www.portorico.com. I have ordered from them for about 4 years. They are in New York City, and I think the prices are very good, even with shipping. Now, I don't know about international rates. I get a 50/50 blend of Columbian Supremo and Kenya AA. You can get whatever you want and they will blend it for you. Maybe if I tell enough people about it they will name it after me!

Good luck with your coffee quest. I know finding a decent cup is important.

I could tell ya but then I'd have to kill ya. ;) :rolleyes1

Peets is the best! My favorite Peets is the Major Dickenson. Since I've started drinking that I'm spoiled for anything else.

We love Caribou Coffee, the Sumatra is the best!! We used to buy it at Target then they stopped selling it so we started buying it online. The last time I went to Target, it was back!

They look like they have a GREAT selection! Thanks! As long as they ship to 'military addresses,' I should be fine. It's considered 'USA'.
But I still get the good chocolate.;)

What's the coffee like in Belgium?

I don't really know. I haven't gone to a Cafe here. We've been pretty busy since we got here, and I don't want to go with the kids.
The beer is excellent.:thumbsup2

I will check it out! Thanks!

Thanks for the lead, we might try these guys. I tried another online coffee vendor (The Coffee Fool) who claimed to sell ultra fresh coffee, we didn't think it was all that great. Worth giving your store a try, though!

I don't know if they sell online, but try The Coffee Bean's Colombia Narino. Vons sells it, it's the most consistantly smooth coffee we've ever tried. Even 2 weeks after the bag has been opened, it still makes an awesome brew. We've never experienced that with SBucks, their coffee seems to go south 4-5 days after opening. :coffee:

Wow. This site looks great. Thanks for posting it! :thumbsup2

OK, I just ordered 3 pounds from Peets. I chose it because it had the Jamaican Blue Mtn coffee available to ship on the 5th and the 12th of this month, and it made it seem as though that wouldn't happen again for some time...I may be wrong. So, I got 2~half pounds of this (it was only available in the half pound), a pound of the Holiday blend, and a pound of Major Dickenson. :thumbsup2
I will be ordering some flavored coffee from the portorico site, just not sure which flavors yet.

Thanks for all your help! :yay:

my favorite site is www . oldcitycoffee . com

I started getting their coffee when my parents lived in Philadelphia - and have been ordering ever since. everything is roasted fresh for your order, and prices are reasonable. If you want to order in bulk - ask for the buy 5 pounds get one free special. It's not posted anywhere on their website, but they always honor it. the kicker is that you get the most expensive pound as the freebie!

the Old city Blend is my standard, I also love the Salvadoran and Costa Rica coffees.

I just ordered 6 pounds from portorico.com, their coffee looks really good.
I ordered some flavored coffee for Christmas gifts, their flavors don't sound gross and fake like a lot of others.

I suggest the hazelnut. I usually get a pound of that since from time to time I like to add a scoop of hazelnut beans to my other blend. What impresses me is that there are actually hazelnuts in with the coffee beans. Most places usually just spray a flavored oil over the beans.

I don't think you will be disappointed.

I've been a member of Boca Java for several years. I've been very happy with all their blends.
