coffee @Mint Julep Bar?

Are you sure it's the French Market? Their menu only lists regular coffee and decaf, making me think it's only brewed coffee. Now, the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe has espresso-based coffees like the caffe mocha and cappuccino, which are great. I always go here in the afternoon or evening, when the Starbucks line is ginormous. There's still a good wait at the Jolly Holiday, but it's a lot faster than Starbucks.

I guess its the Mint Julep bar at the French Market...or maybe this is old?

They're exactly the same as Jolly Holiday and the Main St bakery before it. I never make a special trip out there because the line is always so long.

Shoot I was hoping the line up there would be shorter! What's a girl to do for a quick caffeine hit, I really cannot see standing inline for an eternity just for that

During the holidays when they have special beignet flavors the line there is long but normally when I've gone it's about 5 people or so. Last time I had a peppermint mocha and it was good. (That was during Christmas and the line was long, but the peppermint beignets were so worth it.) I guess I would just cruise past them all and see what the lines look like. There's also a little stand on main street hub near the castle that has coffee drinks, not sure if they are the same as all the others though.

Great thanks! I will watch for the stand too, I am not sure that I have noticed it before.

Shortest line for coffee would probably be the cart between Adventureland and Frontierland in the hub. You could also use the app to order from the Starbucks at DTD if you'll pass that or don't mind the extra walk.

APP???? How does that work...sorry I am not up to speed

You install the Starbucks App to your phone, and place a mobile order to the DTD location. It will not work for the ones in the parks...only DTD.
I used it several times this past weekend with ease. Saturday after the 10k was kind of a madhouse though...even with a mobile order.

So does the APP give you a time to pick up your order...ie order as you are leaving the hotel and pick up on way? is there a different line up for mobile orders?

The vanilla latte I had from there last week was marginal at best. Pretty short line, though, at about 10:30 am.

I had 2 coffees from there the week of Christmas because we had beignets. I think we were there about 45 minutes after regular park opening, and the line was fine. I had a mocha one day and a hazlenut (I think) latte the second day. Both were passable, but only because it was cold outside and I needed caffeine. I would not specifically go there for coffee if you're not getting beignets.

I wouldn't wait in line at the julep/beignet area just for coffee. That line is crazy.

Yes! Before sbux that's where we always got our lattes.

Yes. Thankfully I noticed the exit door to go into. Were you there when poor "Melissa" wasn't picking up her order? Wonder if she ever got her 3 butter croissants etc? People got so silly while waiting (and so helpful, calling out names because the baristas weren't projecting their voices very well) that when I got my plain old latte, people cheered and clapped as I got it. I'd had a hard time with some people on the course (people blocking those who wanted to move faster, not understanding that walkers are on the right, interval people not moving right or left depending on what they are doing, etc)...I had just sent a text to DH saying that after Princess I thought I was DONE with rundisney races because of all that, and that one moment at the DTD Starbucks with all the other sweaty runners there renewed my faith in humanity and the goofiness of it all. :)

It tells you about how long it will be. Go towards the pickup counter. First time we used it, it was just at the normal between-the-machines counter. Post-10K it was at the counter perpendicular to that, against the far wall of the place when you come in the main door. If there is a long lineup to get in and into the ordering line, there's an exit door that you get to by going through the outside tables area. Gotta have a giftcard for Starbucks, create an account, and use the app on your phone to order, or Mobile ordering won't work.
