We are staying at POR and I understand they have coffee makers in the room. Will they supply coffee and filters or will I need to bring some?:surfweb:

Thanks

They have coffee in the prefilter pouches. The coffee has been talked about a lot on here lately. In most opinions it is HORRID. If you really like your coffee and are the slightest bit picky I suggest bringing your own. You can either do the pouches or get a 4 cup coffee filter (basket style) and bring your own grounds.

The coffee in the rooms is nescafe but they buy the cheap stuff in bulk.

Yes, the coffee packs (with filters) are supplied. We had to remind our maid (no, she was not mousekeeping or else we would have had better service) to restock as she forgot two days in a row, along with restocking the disposable cups.

They also supplied sugar, powdered creamer packets & I think some kind of fake sugar.

If you are in any way a coffee snob, bring your own. It's pretty bad, but it was nice not to have to go to the dining hall for a cup in the morning.:surfweb:

Yes they supply them. If you like the coffee or you are a huge coffee drinker you can ask for extras. Don't feel bad if you bring your own. I have not found any coffee at any resort that I fell in love with. LOL However I personally don't bring mine but I know those that do.

Just in case the other posts have not convinced you, if you like coffee then bring your own. What you will get from the packets they will leave you can barely be called coffee.

I've been bringing my own coffee our last few trips now. I've always used the regular size basket filters from home and they fit just fine, no need to go buy a different size for just a week. You can purchase milk or creamer at the gift shops. It sure is nice not having to walk all the way to the food court for that first cup of coffee in the morning.
The coffee they supply you with really isn't even worth trying.

Yes - both.

I've also had problems with staff restocking coffee- at just about every place I've ever stayed!

In a pinch, a folded paper towel can be used as a coffee filter, but a good idea to bring some.

I also found using two packets makes the coffee as stong as I like it.

Coffee REALLY STINKS up your luggage, so I double wrap it in ziplocs.

You can get milk in the resort gift shop and keep it in your fridge. the gift shop prices are better thanthe food court's.

We always bring our own coffee, Maxwell House filter packs. We just bring back some creamers and sugar from the food court the night before and put it in the fridge.:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

The coffee in the rooms is NOT Nescafe, it is some other company(can't remember name right now) and I, unlike may others, really like the coffee in the room. It is a very mild coffee and is really wondeful with a flavored creamer.

There is a small pouch of creamer and sugar, but if more than one person is going to drik coffee, I would recommend bringing your own. We prefer French Vanilla creamer and always bring a small bottle in or cooler, so we don't have to stop at the grocery store.

For sure bring your own coffee and filters.
My family is filled with coffee drinkers and can't stand the "coffee" they provide you with.
We always buy milk or take creamers from the food court and keep it in the fridge.
Also hoard some sugar/splenda packets when you find them, because if mousekeeping sees that you're not using the coffee, they never replace the sugar.
