Hello everyone,

I know people say the coffee provided is fairly poor, so we'll bring our own. What about filters? Do they provide plenty of filters, or should I bring my own as well? Does anyone know what size filters are needed?

Thanks!!

You will need to provide your own filters if you are bringing coffee. They are also available for purchase in the resort store.

All DVC units have a full size (10-12 cup) Mr Coffee brand brewer that takes the basket (flat bottom) type of filter.

I take it a step further, I bring my own coffee maker. I have a Keurig Mini (B30) Single Cup Brewer that I take with me.

OK - now I am jealous. We have a Keurig at home (have been using one for 6 years now), but will be flying down. Not the easiest thing to pack in/packout.

(BTW - if you are ever in need of a hotel near DL and not using your points, the Anaheim Howard Johnson has Keurigs in the room.)

We leave our Keurig at home. I do pack the Maxwell House filter packs. They're around $3.00 for a pkg of 10.

If Maxwell House is better than what they provide, it must be really bad! ;) Kidding, I'm not into super-gourmet, but generally prefer flavored coffee, which Maxwell House doesn't do too well. But maybe I can find some flavored in the pre-made filter packs, it's a good idea!

The gift shop USUALLY has filters. Sometimes, they run out. I've been there when it's happened, of course when I forgot to pack my own. So... bring your own, just to be safe and sure.

fyi, in a pinch, a paper towel makes a great coffee filter (that's what my DB always uses in WDW, and i've used it repeatedly). just tear off the corners to fit.
