Coffee and Ketchup

What do you use to heat the water if you don't mind me asking. You bring an electric kettle?
bringing hot water from the fountain station wouldn't be hot enough once you get into the room and put it in the press.
unless you're ok with drinking not-so-hot coffee.

No, electric kettles are not permitted onboard.

Just my experience, and I'm not sure it's hot enough, but the hot water directly from the tap in the bathroom is r-e-a-l-l-l-l-l-y hot.

once you walk back to your room from the drink station the water loses heat a bit of heat, and more when in contact with the coffee (and the glass) in the press
Water needs to be piping hot, straight from the kettle. But I might be a snob on this and others might be ok with water not as hot.

The hot water at the drink stations is very hot. It is hot enough that it would burn your hand if you splashed. Works good enough for me and the coffee we make is far superior to the reconstituted syrup crap they serve on the ship.

They are still serving the Joffrey's coffee though don't they? Sure it is better than Starbucks but that isn't saying much.

We just got off the Fantasy last Saturday and they were using bottles of ketchup. How odd that they were using gravy boats on your cruise. Our server even made Yoda on the SW night, l wouldn't have know it was him though if she hadn't told my dd who it was.

On the MDAS last week, my server showed me several designs they were supposed to make with ketchup including a Spiderman web. He said that by the time he finished trying to do one ketchup design, the dinner would be cold. So, he was sticking to Mickeys.

I add hot chocolate powder to the coffee to make it palatable to me.
