I am so glad you said that because I felt exactly the same way. I had the bounceback offer in my room and I was not even tempted. I am also thinking of going in April.

I knew it was going to be hot...and I was all prepared to take advantage of the bounceback, but NO WAY!! Dbf hasn't been since he was 6 and I am not going to subject him to that!

We did not go last year, but the third week in April is our usual week, since it is the kids spring break week. In 2004 we got a great discount from the disney visa, it was a new card at the time and offered a 40% discount. But other than that, all we have ever gotten is the AAA discount. Now some of those years the week was also Easter and other years it was not. Last year easter was very early so by the third week in April they were well into the regular season. I believe that if you go to mousesavers.com there is a page there with historic discounts. You may be able to find out if there was a discount.

I think it is going to be quite busy that week, as it has been on all of our trips in April. At least the weather will be great, especially after having been through our upcoming winter. farmers almanac says to be prepared for cold and then some more cold.

ughh I was hoping that since Easter falls so late most spring breaks would be done already and the Easter crowds would be out too...oh well I'm not expecting NO lines and I can deal with some crowds too so we should be ok I hope...and I also heard the same, our winter is supposed to be brutal!

I am in MA and our April break for 09 is the week of 20th April. Because this matches up with so many other states we choose to go the first week of may instead and are hoping for some sort of deal and maybe less crowds.
I know in the past lots of NY schools have the same week as us. Its all too bad I want to be in Disney right now!!!!

I would love to be in a Disney hotel, but unless some really incredible deal comes out, it is looking like I will be staying at the Hilton on reward points for free.

I love free, but I really like being able to use Disney buses for all of my on site travel.
