Codes for Dec

Okay, we are all hopelessly waiting for the December Codes to come out, but when should be start looking for the code? July, August, September, October? When? :confused3 :rotfl:

I think last year they came out late August, but I would bet it won't be till 2 months out.

Waiting for Holiday codes. From Thanksgiving through December 15th.

First time at WDW during the holidays. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I am waiting for Dec 9-16th. I am considering booking the trip through Disneyworld.com but does anyone know if they will honor a discount code if I already have the trip booked and one comes out later on???? I don't want to book it early if I may have to pay more money. :confused3

Thanks.

Yes, they do take over the Value Resorts...but the football players have always been very courteous and well behaved in our experience.

Unfortunately we had some major issues with the cheerleaders and some of their mothers. At the time we were there our sons were ages 5 and 9. We felt extremely uncomfortable taking our boys to the pool or even to the food court because of how these girls and their mothers (who obviously were reliving their own glory days) were dressed/underdressed! :furious:

We spoke to the CMs and they completely understood...we were not the first family to have complained. We were transfered over to the Beach Club at the same rate as we were paying at ASMo (with a code). Once again Disney did the right thing to make their guests happy!! It all worked out for Disney too, we're DVC members now!

SO...don't be hesitant to go while the Pop Warner teams are there. You may find the groups you're with to be wonderful, and from our experience the majority were! IF not, don't be afraid to say something to one of the CMs at the front desk! You're on vacation...it's supposed to be magical, not stressful!! :)

Don't expect this as standard method of operation!

We got to experience the cheerleaders & twirlers @ AS Mo around Pres Day - what a mob-scene.

We tried to get a room - anywhere else, even @ rack rate...so sad, too bad for us. There were just sooooooooo many kids everywhere, especially just lounging in food court area w/o eating anything. Impossible to get a seat or use the pools.

Will second the remark as to the girls' "dress". Can't comment on mothers - don't recall seeing any supervision...think they were working on "safety in numbers" mo.

We, too,then migrated to DVC - do you think it's a plot?LOL

Come on AP rate................................ We are going 12/4-12/12... Just booked my airfare yesterday... Have been looking at airfare for about the last 2 months Went ahead and booked it. The gas prices make me worry they are going to all of a sudden shoot up.

I'm hoping to make a trip for the first or second week of December. I've always wanted to experience Disney at Christmas time. But we just moved across the country, sold our old house, and bought a new one, so we haven't figured out yet if a WDW trip will fit in the budget. But the fact that we can drive now (we're in Charlotte, NC) definitely makes it more affordable with 2 adults and 4 kids. And a nice AP rate would definitely help.

First time during the holidays for us....December 19 - January 11th! I would LOVE a good AP rate but in the meantime I have booked December 19 - January 2 at CSR for a AAA rate of $111.00/night. That was as far as they could extend the AAA discount...I'm assuming because AAA rates for 2007 haven't even been released. We are changing resorts for the second part of our trip (some big convention at CSR)......have POR booked now (at rack rate and hoping for AP discount) but am also hoping the Swan or Dolphin offers some good rates for that time period.

Wow! What a nice, long, holiday trip you have planned! Thought everything was decorated absolutely beautifully last Dec.

If you really want to continue to stay @ CSR for 2nd part of trip, they usually release the unused rooms a month or so before the convention...could keep checking & switch back - good luck.

We've always been very fortunate to have long relaxing trips to WDW. It's our first time at Christmas and I'm soooooo excited! :Pinkbounc We buy AP's and just take our sweet time doing everything. Thanks for the tip re CSR rooms. I really don't want to switch resorts (CSR is my fav) although the NSCS? convention is being held at the time and I have visions of hundreds of college age kids. Although I'm sure my 16 yo dd would be thrilled :lovestruc

We're hopefully going for our wedding planning session Dec. 16-20  It will be our first WDW experience at Christmas. So excited! Does anyone know if you can book a trip and then when the codes come out, apply them to an existing reservation? Thanks for your help!

I do know that if you book a room only rez you can then apply discounts/codes as they are released. By checking in on the 16th you will receive value rates for your entire stay. Good luck with the wedding planning!

We're waiting too, booked for standard view at AKL December 1st - 10th, hoping to get a Savannah view if the AP rate comes out! If not, I still can't wait to stay at AKL - first time at a Deluxe!

Do you recall if the parks are extra busy as well? So far we have Dec. 2-7 booked, and now I'm getting nervous. I would hate to encounter huge crowds since we are pulling our kids out of school (Independent study) to avoid them. Maybe I should change my dates.

No need to worry!! :yay: The parks were great! Lines are short and the decorations are beautiful!! The Pop Warner groups will doing their "Super Bowl" stuff. In past years we would see small groups of them now and again, but not enough to change any plans.

As a matter of fact...we are booked to be at Disney the first week in December again this year, but will be staying at SSR.

ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY!

We have been going the first two weeks of December for several years now and the parks have always been very managble. The only times they were crowded was on the weekends when the locals come to the parks. We will be back again this year from Dec. 7-18. :)

Subscribing. Plan to go December 15-20th. Waiting with everyone else for AP discount codes.
