does anyone know if the discount codes or AP codes would work for the BCV studios 1 BR or 2 BR...or do you only get the discount on the rooms?

...from what I have read on thsese boards it will apply in the next couple of months.

I REALLY want to stay at a 2 bedroom at the BCV. My question is, should I make reservations for the BCV and apply the code when it comes out or if at the time the codes come out there isn't one for the BCV change my reservations to something more that I could afford ( 2 rooms at CBR). If I did that do I risk NOT being able to get 2 rooms a CBR at the time the codes come out. I am looking to go in July. I am confused what to do. When is the best time to make July reservations?

BCV, because it's rather new, may NOT offer code discounts for your travel period. You won't know until they come out. Not all the resorts offer the code rates. I would think that BCV and BWV would be the hardest to get. That said, if they were offered, it is still rather highly priced. The codes won't bring the rates WAY down as they do at other resorts. The best bet you have for a 1 or 2 bedroom is to 'rent' points from a DVC member. That makes those 2 above resorts a VERY good deal! If it were me, I would probably make the ressie at CBR and then try to get BCV. Odds are they won't be counted in the discount.......just from past experience. This is just my one little opinion though. I did get OKW in 2000 using an AP discount code. It was just released 2 weeks prior to our trip so at the last moment I changed resorts. OKW is most likely to offer rooms as it doesn't fill as fast.
Hope this helps. Maybe someone else has had other experiences with this. By the way, I'm wanting to stay at BCV in May. I'm not counting on ANY discounts so I'm trying to find someone to rent points to me.

Mickey is right. Your best and cheapest chance is to rent points from a dvc member. At $10.00 a point it is a great savings, plus the two bedrooms go fast so you only chance might be to rent points. Good luck.

I've found it very difficult to get codes at any of the DVC resorts over the last year. OKW seems to be the only one that I find with a discount. I've heard of a few Disney Club discounts at the BWV and BCV but that has been few and far between.

If you buy DVC from a member can you have them add the silver plan to the reservation when they book?

Thanks for the advice, I really do appreciate it. I have to make my plans without taking codes into consideration. I have to believe that either way we will have a great vacation.

When I read these threads, I feel SO lucky. I managed to get TWO 2-bedroom villas at BCV through DC the second time I called to try. We are going the week after Labor Day, so I know that's a low season, but still...two of them. I feel blessed. Now, if they give them to us close together so the grandkids can run back and forth, I'll feel doubly blessed.

And I'll watch for codes, just in case, but I got a nice discount as it is. I don't know exactly what the room rate was, because I added in the Dreammaker Silver package and they didn't really break it down. But I knew what total I needed to be at, and I came in under that.

I wonder if it is possible to have a dream maker silver package added to rented points? If it were possible, how would it work? Anyone know??

Fromwhat I've been reading here, and on the DVC board, the silver, gold & platinum packages can only be added on to a basic dreammaker package. And DVC member services, where you book the points reservations, doesn't have the packages.

If you are renting points you can still get the unlimited passes at check in.

Lots of people would like to do the add ons to a room only or points reservation (at all the disney resorts!) but it doesn't seem like they let you without the Dreammaker package (with tickets).
