Any codes/discounts for pickups by December 16th? I have a good rate with Dollar but I would prefer Alamo or National.

Unfortunately I've tried mousesavers already. It's great, eh? Done well in the past. Haven't been able to get A and N as low as Dollar this time. Will keep trying.

Lisa, why do you prefer Alamo over Dollar? Just curious is all. The only company I ever rented form before is Enterprise, now I am using Alamo. But if I found a better rate at Dollar, I would switch.

This is where my head is at on this one. We've always used National and Alamo. Always signed up for the instantly for the quick service. Ie. attached to the reservation I just made. Have enjoyed just leaving the plane, picking our car (many selections) and not doing any counter interaction.

Dollar, as far as I can see, has Dollar Express. It seems to me that your sign up for DE is not instant in that it takes weeks to register in the system. Doesn't seem to be attached to your reservation. And then it seems like it is just a faster system at the counter not "just go pick your car".

If any of this is incorrect....someone please let me know.

Irregardless, I'm so happy to get the rate from Dollar. For weeks my dates showed "no cars available" on the great deal but I just kept trying and voila.
