Markey - I'm not sure if you'll qualify since you'll be there through the military this time, but why not try for a comeback rate. I think if you call cro while onsite you might qualify.

markey, why don't you do as we did and book overflow rates through SOG? You can cancel and change it 7 days out if a code is lower, but you will at least have a good low rate if not! You can call or e-mail and ask the specific rate for AKL! Let me know what the rate is if you do that as we may book that for another trip!

Hi Just got off the phone with a CM.I was making changes to our ressies for mid August.I asked about AP rates, specials and her reply was "If I were you I would be looking very closely to newspapers,TV,magazines and ads for up coming specials"Then she laughed and repeated her advice.

Hi guys!
I just got off the phone with a CM. She said no codes yet.
When I had her check for ap codes she told me to start looking for codes for after 7/3 around the 2nd week of June. Could it be? That long until they come out? I hope she is wrong and they come out sooner then that. If they take that long to come out I might be in the nut house by then.

By the way does any one know what the letters:NTGTD mean on my res. Its in the package section on the left side of the papar. (pkg) under my preferances. I just cant figure out what they mean.

I would expect that the AP rates will be in June based on the way they have been already this year, but the general codes should be in the next week or so. At least I hope so, if not I will be in the next padded room down from you.

I am waiting for Mid-Oct Code.
Last year, I remember they were released Mid-July. I think it was July 18th. But not for sure. I need "Room Only".

Do you think they will release them earlier this year??? I can only hope!!

I just got off the phone with the travel office (not CRO) and she was telling me that emails are going out May 6th with new discount codes for the latter part of the summer. She said emails would go out first and then postcards.

I cannot deal with the 45 day cancelation policy. I can't believe they have such a crazy amount of time! A week seems reasonable but not 45 days! Oh well....let's hope we all get emails next week!

I, too am awaiting codes for late summer, specifically AP codes. But the planning must go on and, while reading Birnbaum's Official Guide, I came across this which reminded me to just be patient and that if I got something, great, but don't expect anything. I quote:

"...The lineup of WDW resorts that offer Annual Passholder rates varies from month to month (with occasional periods devoid of any special offers), and discounted rooms aren't always available for booking more than a month or so in advance."

I've been an AP holder for years and it used to be that AP rates were always very last minute things -- great when you could get 'em but not be counted on. I've gotten spoiled over the last couple of years with more discounts that are available sooner, but this passage reminded me that that's not the way Disney intended it to be, so not to expect too much. So now I'm feeling more relaxed and ready to just wait it out. If no codes come out, I've got a room I can afford at the current rate and so be it. Disney will do what they want to do, when they want to do it and no amount of angst on my part will change that.
