I got 10% off ASSp for Jan and 25% off CBR in early April.


Really wish I could play with options online.

I called about 8:00. Only on hold about 3 minutes! I booked YC Room only. It was only about 20% off the rack rates I checked yesterday. She said it was 25%, BUT there were no Standard Views included in the discount, so that brought the actual discount to 20%. I think with my group, I would have saved more by booking a Mod and and taking the Dining discount, but I needed the option for late cancellation and changes since a Christmas gift surprise for my teens. Booking a Mod at 10% off would not have saved me much unless I went with a package.
WL did not have standards available and both it (!!) and BC were more than YC. POFQ was excluded, FYI.

I STILL wish I could play with the numbers online. I might have buyers remorse later and still want to switch to Mod.

Just got off the phone, 20 min wait. Going 1/22-27, staying at contemporary and they said nothing available for my room type I asked about dining package and they said nothing again for the room type. I might try again or try to do everything on Monday when it's online so I can play with the dates and room types.

Are you booked in the CR wing? I wonder if only Tower is available? I love CR but generally won't pay for the Tower up charge anymore.

I just got off the phone - 40 min wait on hold - but 25% room only discount at AKL. Still the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed at, but at least it's a little bit cheaper!

Just booked the SPD package for my wife and I, so thought I'd give a little breakdown of the numbers!

SPD package: 5 nights at POR (1/9-1/14, Standard View), 6 day passes (no park hopper)= $2225.06

For comparison's sake:

same package w/ DDP= $2528.06
same package w/o DDP= $1854.76

A difference of $673.30. With the SPD discount it comes down to $370.30 for the DDP.

370.30/673.30= 45% savings on the DDP.

We're unsure if we're going to keep the package but definitely wanted something on the books for now.

Helpful but I think your math is backwards. You saved $303 and 45% off dining. (You paid 55%) of dining BUT this is fantastic info and right in line with my calculation on my package.

I just called and the CM told me that only PSD was available, not a room-only. We're traveling over MLK weekend. Could it be that the room-only is blacked out for my dates, or is the CM just totally confused? Would you call back and try for a different CM if you were me?

I never know how Disney prices things due to the fact I get different figures online than by phone. With that being said I had already booked a package in January for 7 nights 6 day base tickets and the dining plan. We are a family of 6 with our youngest being 8. We are staying at a moderate resort with two rooms booked. Our price before was $7,645.95 our new price is $5,670.84

Yes, I was flexible! I said any Value. She said she couldn't give me a quote unless I wanted two day tickets or more, because packages were the only thing available on the Visa offer. Looks like I'm calling back. Thanks!

Just got off the phone - waited on hold less than 5 minutes. I got AKL (pool view) for 25% off. She said savanna view was also 25% off, but it would have cost me $445 more so I passed. We've never stayed at AKL before, so I hope I don't regret that...

I also asked about BC and she quoted me lagoon/pool view for 10% off. She said YC (garden view) was 25% off, but that was still $230+ more than I'm paying for pool view at AKL.

Called back, got a new CM, she happily booked a room-only for me at Pop. You just have to wonder how the first one could have been clueless that the room-only offer exists!
