Ok, so I finally received a code!!! Yay me . . . or so I thought:headache:

I called to make a ressie using the code and was told I couldn't unless my Dad came along. We usually travel together, but he much prefers to stay offsite and isn't even planning on going this year. If it came to my address, why on earth can't I use it?!?! Has anyone else run into this problem?

Yep...first time in 21 trips I get a code to my brand new house( as in newly built) addressed to a friend of mine( who went to disney under my ressie) who has been DEAD for 7 yrs. They won't let me either:sad1: ....i am going to keep calling .The cm was mean to me and wanted to know why I wasn't going to book a trip anyway:confused3 Uh...because I can't afford to without the discount.

Yea, the CM I talked to was somewhat rude too. I even asked to speak to a manager because it just seems ridiculous to me that they won't allow me to use it when it was sent to my house! The manager also got a bit testy with me and said he'd rather lose the booking than not follow policy. Don't get me wrong - I understand it's not his policy, it's Disney's, but to flat out say I don't want your business just kind of ticked me off.

Nice to know they are so concerned about the economy and low bookings.

Yea, I was thinking that too. Not only did it show that this "manager" is obviously not concerned about low bookings, but it was just so un-Disneylike!! It really left a bad feeling with me about booking anything at all.

I know I was so upset..Dh told me to forget it and we won't go...I just spoke to my AAA ta and she is going to try for me.

Do you have a son? Check him in using your Dad's name!:snooty:

Wow have they changed this policy?? I have done that several times. My discounts almost always come in someone else's names. My MIL, my SIL, my parents. In fact it was a joke that I never got one (until just recently I got an email with $500 gift card!) However, I always got to use the code. Boy that stinks. Before it was my MIL couldn't use it because she didn't have my address. But if we had the address it was ok for us to use it. I would definitely keep calling and get a good CM. Ask the Cm how they are today and if they say "magical" or something really nice try again to get them to book the code. If not hang up. These people aren't worth the time. It isn't your fault they messed up his name on your address. Good luck!
