Code for Southwest Air?

Does anyone have a code for Southwest Airlines When I go to the booking page there is a place to put in a code if I have it. Can anyone help? I am a real newbie when it comes to codes...

SW rarely does a promo code, and when they do, it's usually via email. A few years ago the Pats won the Super Bowl and I received an email with a code for a limited time use.

Hi Redbudlover. I live in Austin too!

I don't know about any codes, but I'm starting to keep my eye out for flights in January. I'm looking at both SW and Delta since they both have non stop flights.

Wow! An Austin disser. I can't believe It! That is really exciting. I thought I was the only disser in the city. I have been using Sidestep.com to check out flights almost on a daily basis. It, like Kayak, checks about a 100 different sites including orbitz and trvelocity, etc. I have been surprised to find the cheapest flights for my dates direct from Austin have been on Continental for $385. They have a nonstop flight that leaves at 7 am. I have found a flight on Southwest out of Dallas for $200 if I fly late or $299 if I fly early, but if I add up the cost of parking, gas, and staying there at a hotel so I can leave at 5:45, my cost is about the same except I have to drive all that way. It I take the hotel out of the equation I save that money, but have to drive all that way and arrive at 4:30 am. Southwest from Austin so far cost s about $400. So I am spending $2500 for the days in WDW and worrying about $100? That sounded crazy to me so I am waiting and hoping for a ding from Southwest. Saw one the 4th for $88 roundtrip to New Orleans.

SW learend VERY quickly on codes...

Basically you have to be a rapid rewards member. If they choose to email you a code it is good on tickets purchased while logged as you using your RR number..... In other words even if someone has a code, they probably can't give it to you.

Just make sure that you have DING! downloaded on your computer off of the SW site and check it frequently! They release great fares fairly often, but usually not more than a month to a month and a half before for the times that you want to fly.
