Code/booking question - HELP

I'm planning on heading to WDW the last week in Oct. I haven't booked yet and was wondering if I should call first and check for a code or if I should just book and ask at that time? Some people on here have been saying that CMs won't tell them if there is a code attached to their names. Or....should I just book with AAA and get the 15% discount pretty much guaranteed. I'm assuming I can't use the AAA discount and a code at the same time.
