I was told two different ways to make this trip. Route 1 or A1A. Which would be quicker at 11pm? Thanks.

slide out to 95 and head south if you want to make time - either of the other routes puts you thru stoplights galor . . .

We did A1A during the day once and it was a beautiful drive, but terribly slow, especially being behind motor homes. Why Motor Homes were going south in March is beyond me, but they were!

I agree with Captain BJ...go to 95. You won't see much on A1A at 11 PM anyway!

I see from the roll call that you are at VB the same time we are. Maybe we'll meet you! We're in a OVIR. Friends are in a GVIR.

Thanks. Have to drop my dad off in Cocoa before making the trip to Vero. We are in a studio in the villa buildings. Hope to see you there!

I live south of Cocoa and if I want to 'get to' Vero, I take 95

If I'm just out for a drive and don't care it takes twice as long I go A1A

Used to live in Melbourne and always took 95 to Vero (for the excellent shopping). A1A can be lovely but in the middle of the night there is nothing to see anyhow!

not intended to belabor the point but

for most of the way down A1A you can't see the ocean....even in daytime

There is either a high berm/dune of sand or condo's ... usually condo's on both sides of the road. Even up in the Cocoa area, driving A1A you seldom see the ocean . . . you do better from the top of a causeway heading east toward the beach!

Usually, to see the beach, you gotta park and get out of the car . . .

Take 95 down to the Sebastian exit....take it. If they are open stop at Hale's on Rt. 1 for fresh oj and grapefruit juice......the best in the world!
