Can anyone recommend a nice hotel and a nice restaurant in the Cocoa beach area for a one night stay, we have a budget of $99.00 per night for the hotel.

Hello,
We've stayed at the Holiday Inn @ cocoa beach. It is located on the beach. The hotel was Ok nothing special. You can go to cocoabeach.com and look for other hotels. As for restaurants there is a Carrabba's Italian Grill in Merritt Island which is 10 minutes west of Cocoa, Abbatino's pizza is in Cocoa Beach in a strip mall (great pizza), Chowder's seafood I think it's in Merrit Island as well and you have the usual fast food places. There are more restaurants in Merritt Island. It is a 10 minute drive away. That is where we normally go to eat.
Have a fun time!! Cocoa beach is nice.

we stay at the cocoa beach oceanside Inn. It's pretty nice and right on the beach next to the pier. They have their own website at cocoabeachoceansideinn.com The rates are pretty reasonable and if you get an ocean front room you have a view of cape canaveral and the big cruise ships going in and out of port. Another place my husband and I stayed at once was called the Inn at Cocoa Beach, this is more like a large bed and breakfast and probally better for couples. But it is very nice and the people there are very friendly and the rooms are very homey. It may also be a little out the price range. You can always check internet sites like hotels.com or expedia for better rates, just make sure they guarantee the rate. As far as restaurants go you may want to go over near port canaveral, where the ships leave from, and we went to place on the water, I think it was called Sunset Grille. Not 100% sure of the name but there are only a few restaurants in that area on the water. Good luck and enjoy the sun!!!:boat:

How about the new Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort? It just opened a few weeks ago and is supposed to be beautiful. We are staying there in April. A studio villa sleeps 4. I found a discount code in a Fla. Travel magazine that gives you 25% off. I think that would bring the cost down to about $75 a night. The code is 102 if you are interested. The website is ronjonresort.com. Good luck!

We had dinner at a restaurant on the pier. I have no idea what the name was. The food was wonderful. It was all cooked in butter. Tasted great, but not the healthiest. There are a few restaurants on the pier. We stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Port. It was fine. It was not on the beach, though. Ron Jon looks really cool. I would go for that next time.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach - I would recommend a little drive up to Titusville and eat at Dixie Crossroads - don't miss the rock shrimp - to die for! Lunch is slightly cheaper than dinner.

These are my all time favorite restaurants in Cocoa Beach and vicinity (this is coming from a virtual native as I own a condo here):

Crab Heaven - 6910 N. Atlantic Ave., Cape Canaveral. 783-5001 Very, very casual but just about the best darn crabs you will ever have - the typical crab place that has brown paper on the table and wooden hammers and whatnot in the center of the table. It is casual vacation stuff and has outdoor dining. It is heaven for me and a must not miss every time.

Frankie's Wings & Things - 555 Glen Cheek Dr., Cape Canaveral. 799-4349. $$ This is at the port and has great oysters. Typical oyster bar just down right good food. Very, very casual again.

Then to go up in class - but remember you're at the beach I usually like to stick to my beach wear all day long - this restaurant is formal and is wonderful:
Mango Tree - 118 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach. 799-0513. $$$$$ They have an amazing outdoor garden area and the food is spectacular. You do have to change out of beach wear for this one though.

That's my two cents of places that I go ever trip down to Cocoa Beach.
