Per a couple sources:

So, we all know about the Tres Caballeros overlay (~10 years ago?) which only took about 6 months (April - November?) to complete on top of the Rio Del Tiempo in Mexico at EPCOT's World Showcase. Turnarounds can be done quickly if there aren't major changes.

This "new" attraction would spread out some of the crowd being concentrated at Norway.

For me, I'd rather them start on a Ratatouille ride in France (that'd be over by the International Gateway, so park hoppers' wouldn't clog up traffic too much if that's the new, exciting thing to be put into WS. That's rumored to be completed by 2021 if it gets the green light).

Coco is barely a blue sky idea according to sources. The movie is still being worked on.

Ratatouille as far as I know is not at all being planned for France in Epcot right now. The only source that is saying it is, is WDWNT which is inaccurate.

Disney has always been notoriously slow to add park attractions based on new films (see the 20-plus year wait for a Little Mermaid ride), Frozen is an anomaly.

I just have a hard time believing that all of a sudden, Disney has green lit a new attraction based on an original (non-sequel) Pixar film that, frankly, hasn't gotten much buzz beyond that it's being made.

It wouldn't be new, just the same thing they did with Tres Caballeros, i.e., record a couple new scenes with live actors "interacting" with Donald, Pancho, etc., that took 6 months... and they just added the animatronics not too long ago. Since Coco is based in Mexico, the fit would be better than what's there now, but I guess we'll see.

I've heard that yes it's being talked about but the overlay isn't very far at all in development because it's too early.

It actually started its animation according to lee unkrich. And call me pessimistic but it's not going to break a billion. Remember it's release date only comes a month before Star Wars and if they follow suit like they did for force awakens, pretty much the majority of screens are gone and chances of legs are pretty much cut off

At least it's rumored to be just an overlay. I don't think that most people would mind that.

I just remembered, is this the rumor that dinoland was going to change to good dinosaur if that was a success, save for the movie and location

I doubt it. They didn't create animatronic Caballeros last year just to get rid of them the following year.

Those weren't created. Those animatronic figures have been around since the 70s and Have been in storage.
