I've just read a report on BBC website about CO2 emmissions for various activities when I came accross this

a holiday for a family of four to Disneyworld in Florida, with all the travelling and consumption involved, releases a whopping 2,415,000g of CO2

the whole report is here

Good grief! That is a lot of CO2!

Hmmmm, it seems like a lot but they fail to say how much of that is generated by the flights alone. I think that would be more revealing about where the bulk of the CO2 emissions are actually coming from.

Double Post.

Although it took so long to do anything I was surprised it worked at all! ;)

It did seem a very strange thing to put in the report when all their other examples were so specific - how on earth they work out the CO2 for something as variable as a holiday I don't know. Of course they used the WDW aspect as a headline which is why I read the report in the first place (so I suppose it worked!).
