Hi all,
Keep everything in prospective.... I will be 55 this year. On December 6th, 1993, I married my 2nd wife (quit laughing !) at WDW. It may have been the very first year that they actually had a "Wedding Department", and wedding coordinators. I wish I could remember the young lady's name that helped us, because she was wonderful. I believe she had been part of the staff at The Contemporary Resort, before transferring to the "new" wedding department. It was so new in 1993 that we had the ceremony at "Sunset Point" and, as we walked through The Polynesian Resort to get there. People were commenting about us because of the way we were dressed. We had the ceremony, and my (then) wife and I had dinner at "Victoria and Albert's", where they presented us with a small but very beautiful (and delicious) wedding cake. My children, brother, and "best man"; as well as my wife's children, and mother, all had dinner at Chef Mickey's. My best man had flown in for the ceremony, arriving about noon, and was flying back out at around 8PM. He was not only allowed to use the Monorail to get from the Polly to CR, but "The Contemporary" picked up the tab for his meal (all the others were on the "Food 'n Fun Plan". When we arrived back at our room(s), there was yet another cake, delivered to our rooms, compliments of The Contemporart Staff. I tell you this because, as simple as the ceremony was - it was wonderful.
My point here: I ask you to remember what the day actually is; where you are, whom you are with, and why. It's your wedding day - celebrate and enjoy ! You are at "the happiest place on earth" for your "happiest day on earth" - allow it to be just that and don't "over-plan" and ruin the day.
