Was just curious to see who everyone has got as their wedding co ordinator & your opinions on them:confused3

We ve got Karen Serrette, so far shes been very helpful in answering the many q's i ve sent her.We sometimes have to wait ages before we hear back from her though which proves a little tricky when you re desperate for an answer. Still i know shes probably got many diff weddings to deal with so cant really complain ;)

Do you have her assistant's email? I find that the assistants usually reply very quickly!

I did nt realise she had an assistant, shes never mentioned anyone.:confused3
Does anyone know who Karen Serrete's assistant is & what their contact email add is?

Hi!
We initially had Tanis Armstrong, and she was great. Very helpfull, and prompt in her answers. Then she had to go on a leave, and John Golden took care of us. Also did a great job.!

All in all, I think the most we had to wait for an answer was about 3 buissiness days

We have Heidi as our Disney Wedding Coordinator!

My parents and I met with Heidi in November, and she was extremely patient and wonderful with us. I was so relieved! My family had a lot of questions about having an ethnic ceremony in Walt Disney World, and I certainly couldn't answer everything with the Disney Fairytale website alone. I had given Disney a heads-up about these issues when I set-up the appointment, and Heidi was armed with plenty of information about couples with similar cultures and traditions who have successfully tied the knot at Disney locations.

My fiance and I are returning to WDW in February for his birthday. He was unable to join us for last November to meet Heidi because we had just gotten engaged in late October. It can be difficult to take off that much time from work, especially for two week-long Disney vacations.

Our engagement story is in the link below, if you're interested. :lovestruc

Now, my fiance will finally meet Heidi in February, so we can review the interior of the Wedding Pavilion and determine our reception location. My family feels like she understands what we're going though, as our families may have to travel to Orlando from the Midwest, West and East coasts, so we need to make this a very special event, something that we couldn't pull off in Chicago, etc. I think Disney holds the magical key! I have to say that she's a great listener.

I hope to get these plans off the ground in the next few months. I have always dreamed of getting married at Disney World. :bride:

Thanks to Heidi, we are on our way...

We have Heidi too! She is awesome!:yay: And she was the first bride to get married at the Wedding Pavilion!

We had Marion Stewart, and I loved her!! She did a fantastic job. She was usually pretty easy to get in touch with; at most it took a day or two to return my call. Even then, her assistant would try to help me if she could.
Marion was great!

We've got Amy and she has been great. Very friendly and helpful.

we had heidi and bill before we signed the contract and then our wedding planner was meri and her assistant was alix

We have Karen Serette too and she has been incredibly helpful! She was on vacation the past few days, which may explain the delay. I don't know who her assistant is, though, sorry :goodvibes

I have Pam Pearce and she's been wonderful. Nothing but good stuff to say!! :goodvibes

We have Celeste Dicicco - Alix is her assistant - and they are both wonderful. Both are fairly quick at responding to emails but with holidays and so forth I imagine that most of the coordinators may be a little behind/backlogged explaining the delayed response.

Again they're wonderful!!!

I had Diane Mahoney-Brown for sales and then Maxine Pollakis and her assistant Brandye! Maxine made everything so smooth and Disney perfect! I had fun and every little thing was taken care of.
She worked hard, so I didn't have to!

I have Celeste too and I ADORE her!!! she is wonderful and very helpful!

We had Diane Mahoney Brown as our Coordinator and Ken Weaver as our Planner and they both were amazing to work with!!!

We have Ken Weaver, we just met him at our planning session. He is so amazing!!! He really knows his stuff!!

We had Diane Mahoney - Brown as a sales coordinator. Marion Stewart was our planner and she was outstanding. Her assistant Jennifer was also great.

I have Diane Bowen and her assistant is Alex...they are both very helpful and quick to respond to emails and willing to talk over issues over the phone. I was nervous about the matchup but now i couldn't be more pleased. They are both fantastic! :)

Hi all,

Keep everything in prospective.... I will be 55 this year. On December 6th, 1993, I married my 2nd wife (quit laughing !) at WDW. It may have been the very first year that they actually had a "Wedding Department", and wedding coordinators. I wish I could remember the young lady's name that helped us, because she was wonderful. I believe she had been part of the staff at The Contemporary Resort, before transferring to the "new" wedding department. It was so new in 1993 that we had the ceremony at "Sunset Point" and, as we walked through The Polynesian Resort to get there. People were commenting about us because of the way we were dressed. We had the ceremony, and my (then) wife and I had dinner at "Victoria and Albert's", where they presented us with a small but very beautiful (and delicious) wedding cake. My children, brother, and "best man"; as well as my wife's children, and mother, all had dinner at Chef Mickey's. My best man had flown in for the ceremony, arriving about noon, and was flying back out at around 8PM. He was not only allowed to use the Monorail to get from the Polly to CR, but "The Contemporary" picked up the tab for his meal (all the others were on the "Food 'n Fun Plan". When we arrived back at our room(s), there was yet another cake, delivered to our rooms, compliments of The Contemporart Staff. I tell you this because, as simple as the ceremony was - it was wonderful.
My point here: I ask you to remember what the day actually is; where you are, whom you are with, and why. It's your wedding day - celebrate and enjoy ! You are at "the happiest place on earth" for your "happiest day on earth" - allow it to be just that and don't "over-plan" and ruin the day.

Thanks for this! My wedding has passed already, but this is great advice. Thanks for sharing your story :)
