I am reading other threads where people are saying CM'ss may delete all your ressies if they see you are dbl booked.

If I have duplicate ressies for each meal - one for my party, one for DD's - am I considered Dbl Booked?

Am I in danger of cancellations or will they look and see that my party is for 4 adults and DD's is for # adults and infant?

If a knowledgable CM could help answer this I would really appreciate it!!

Not really sure...we might need more information.

For your vacation reservation...is it only for your immediate fam or do you include your DDs fam in the reservation (lets say 4 people for you...4 for them...for a total of 8 people on the main reservation?). If you have 8 people...are the ADRs split into parties of 4? Then that should be ok.

If you have separate reservations for both families... what reservation #s are the ADRs under? All under your reservation? Or each ADR is on their own families reservation number? If they are all under one reservation number, then that would be considered double booking.

Hope that all makes sense!

Ok, that really bothers me because I have a reservation and my mother-in-law has a reservation. And each time (and I have called NUMEROUS times) I have called to book an ADR, the CM has only wanted my ressie # and told me she/he did want not the other. We have a party of 4 and my MIL has a party of 2, so all my ADRs are for 6. Does that mean we are in danger of having our ADRs cancelled???!!!!

If I read that correctly you have 2 completely separate ressies. One for your party and one for your MIL's party? How is that doublebooked? Double booked is "Susie Johnson at CM 6-20-9 at 8pm" and "Susie Johnson at PSB 6-20-9 at 8pm"

No not at all...you have dining reservations for more people then are in your vacation reservation (we do all the time). The OP was asking if you have multiple reservations for the same meal under the same reservation number.

Don't worry about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Are any of them for the same time/restaurant? If so the gratuity will be included in the check.

I have a room res in my name. My daughter has a room res in her name.

We booked identical ADR's for every meal - same time same place.

All ADR's were put under my name.

So I have, for example, (1) 8 am ADR @ CP for 2 adults, 12 yr child, 10 yr child. And (1) 8am ADR @ CP for 2 adults, 12 yr child, 1 yr child.

All of my ADR's are booked like that.

One for my party and one for DD's party. But all under my room res.

This was how the CM did it.

So how is this fair to me?

The CM is the one who set it up that way!

He should have booked them under my DD's res like I said to do to begin with.

I appreciate how helpful he was, as there was a ton of ADR's.

But now my ADR's are in jepardy because he booked it this way.

Disney really needs to address this so CM's aren't setting guests up to lose their ADR's.

Why didn't the CM just book it all as one ADR? Call back and change one set of ADRs to your DD's reservation number or see if you can get one ADR for the whole party. If you and your DD have a total of 8 people, you are a grand gathering.

We don't want the same ADR because DH doesn't do well sitting w/DGS1 or any other infant at a meal!

Trust me when I say, we need separate ADR's!!

I did call back yesterday afternoon and asked if they could switch DD's ADR's to her Room Res.

I was told they can't do that???

And we aren't a GG because DGS1 doesn't count in the numbers.

So you are not all going to be sitting together? If that is the case then the original CM should have just booked for you and then your DD under her name.

Correct, we will be at separate tables and CM knew that because I did book us all together for a couple of the ADR's where I decided DH was going to just have to deal with it!! :goodvibes

But vacation will be a disaster for all if we do that more than a couple times!!

I am NOT a CM and don't know much about cancelling double booking, but... just looking at your example of 2 adults, 12 yr child, 10 yr child, then looking at 2 adults, 12 yr child and 1 yr child, I would think it was a mistake. Only because the only different person is a 1 yr old or a 10 year old. Might look like the CM accidentally typed age 1 instead of age 10, and then tried to cancel and rebook but cancelling didn't work.

Of course there is no logic to that, but I would think it was a mistake if I saw it. Can they note your account that you do indeed have two different ressies or can they change the name on one of them?

Good luck!

When I called back yesterday, I asked the CM if they could make a notation so the ADR's wouldn't get cancelled.

She said she couldn't do anything that would help, but doubted they would get cancelled because a CM will only see one ADR @ a time.

She said (and I heard furious typing!) that she pulled up a few resources to see if I could lose the ADR's and said she was confident it would not happen.

THat was why I didn't worry about trying to rebook new ADR's for my DD.

Now I am really wishing I'd gone ahead and done so. :headache:

You can change the name on the ADR as far as I remember. That's how people do reservation swaps here on the board. I did it on my last trip when I had to give up my Ohana reservation. I just called and changed the name and phone number associated with the reservation.

With the new system you can no longer change names on a reservation

Are they all under your name? The resort reservation doesn't matter as much as the name they are under. If you booked them all under your name I would call back and ask to speak with a supervisor or check online and see if there is availability and rebook one under your DD's name and cancel the other.

I have tried to get through to a supervisor, but the CM's insist on handling the situation.

I just got off the phone w/ a CM (who was not exactly the friendliest person about the matter) and she said she checked w/ her sup and was told there was nothing to do but put a notation on each ADR stating that this was intentional dbl booking for (2) sep parties.

Of course, she also said she didn't know if that was going to help or not.

She did sit on the phone w/ me and pull every single ADR (roughly 60!!) and put the notation in each one.

I just don't see how Disney can make things like this so impossible to correct.

My biggest issue with it, aside from the possibility of losing all my ADR's, is that the CM is the one who created the mess by booking all of them under my name.

He should have known better.

Now I get the joy of worrying from now till Sep about whether my ADR's will all get cancelled. :sad2:

I have tried to see if I could get new ADR's for her, but so far haven't had luck on some of them.

Some are available because they are not-so-hot places; others have nothing left.

60 ADR's????? Wow how long are you staying? Even if it is for two different families that is 30 each.
