So if a guest of a CM knows when they will be getting into the park in advance can they make FP ressie's online?

Yes. The FP that is chosen for the Main Gate pass is the FP for the selected Guest Passes.

FPs can be chosen 7 days in advance, or, if the CM's MDE is linked to an onsite reservation or MDE with an onsite reservation, the booking window is 60 days.

The CM will log into MDE. They will see their MainGate as well as their Guest Passes and Spouse Pass (as applicable). Those tickets can then be used to make FP+ picks 7 days out. They do not need to be the same for all - different guest passes can have different FP+ picks at overlapping times.
