Fri 6th Feb. Travelling Day

DH & I are up at 4.30am, showered and ready in a flash, girls follow 15mins later.
Taxi picks us up at 6 and whooo we're on our way to Manchester Airport :yay: :yay: :yay:
Within the hour we're sorted, cases have gone and we are armed with our boarding cards and on our way to the departure lounge.

We fly on Ruby Tuesday, and we're 35 mins late taking off.

For lunch we have a choice of barbecue chicken, beef stroganoff or pasta, DH & I both opt for the barbecue chicken, the girls both have childrens meals which they were delighted with, they had chicken fingers, potatoe wedges & beans, dairylea dunker, gingerbread person, frube youghurt and a pack of haribo!!, with an orange fruit shoot to wash it all down with ;)

10 mins after the food we hit the turbalance from Hell :scared1: I have never experienced anything like it, eldest DD ended up with a sick bag  and so did a few other's!, the whole episode lasted almost an hour :sad2:

The cabin crew were excellent, our staff were Nick & Simon and they were sooo entertaining, even when spilling fruit juice over me  , we nicknamed them the Chuckle Brother's :lmao:

The rest of the flight was uneventfull, we landed at 2.20pm ahead of schedule to a temp of 18 degrees :) headed over to Alamo and then we were off to our villa, we arrived just after 4, to discover the pool heat hadn't been turned on, as this is the 1st thing the girls do....so within the hour that little problem was sorted and in jump the girls!!, DH & Dad go to Publix to grab a bite for tea and a few more bits.
Bed at 7pm
Tomorrow Magic Kingdom and Breakfast at CP :thumbsup2

Great start Karen, shame about the extra 'thrill ride'. Look forward to hearing the rest.

just reading about your flight has made my stomach turn. glad you all arrived safely and got your villa all sorted for your first night

Great start - shame that you started the thrill rides a day earlier than expected! :scared1:

I think Disney would have to pay you to do a thrill ride like that!!

It was pretty bad, I don't think the seatbelt sign went off for a couple of hours!! :scared: I even contemplated a sick bag at one point, but thought that would freak my eldest DD out even more! :sad1:

Great start , I've got the same Goofy as your DD :goodvibes

Great start Karen, your girls look so happy in the picture :thumbsup2 .Shame abut the turbulence+your Dd being sick. Can't wait to hear more.
The childs meal sounds great-my girls would love that if it's available in April.x.

great start, shame about the turbulance

Hi Karen I'm along for the ride, just hope it doesn't get any more bumpy than the flight. ;)

wow, a whole hour of turbulence :scared1: we went on ruby tuesday!

Sat 8th Feb
Magic Kindgom & CP for Breakfast!! :cool1: :cool1:

Well yes it’s 4am  and we’re awake!! Youngest DD is bouncing on our bed, fresh as a daisy….We try to keep her entertained as so not to wake her sister and Grandma & Grandad, well there’s only so long you can keep an 8yr old entertained when she know's we’re off to MK :yay:

We’re all ready to go and wrapped up warm as it’s COLD!

We hit the MK car park at 7am, and wait to exchange our vouchers, voucher’s exchanged but unfortunately the lady on the counter insists on giving our 10yr old a children’s ticket even though we have purchased an adult ticket for her :headache: , she even said “Oh don’t worry she’s only little”, we’ll this freaked my DD out as she is a stickler for rules and was frightened she’d be in trouble princess: We sort this problem later and get her the right ticket issued :thumbsup2

That aside we head for MK via the monorail taking a few pics on the way

We make our way over to CP
DSC01877.jpg

We give our names in at CP and wait for 5mins before we’re called in, our server was Jack, who was lovely
DSC01897.jpg

As always the food was lovely, BUT I was itching to go out into the parks and do some rides….cmon everyone!
Eventually we leave and head straight over to Buzz Lightyear, then Astro Orbiter, I’m ashamed to say after 4 trips this is the 1st time we have ever riden it, I think my Mum thought we we’re going to Bungee Jump from the top, she kept asking where are we going, and what is this?? :rotfl2: Tomorrowland transit authority, then the men took the girls on Indy speedway, we had done all this before 10.30am :thumbsup2 Over to Snow White, once again no wait….and then Mickey’s Phillarmagic this was the 1st time that my youngest DD has watched this properly, and she loved it, she kept jumping out of her seat to catch the items :lovestruc now to IASW (my DH detests this!!) and then to get fast passes for BTMR, whilst waiting for our fastpass time we head over to POTC, and then we go in search of a bench to leave the grandparents and the bag’s whilst we go off to ride BTMR as my Mum was most definite she wasn’t doing this one :confused3 . We walk to the fast pass area & almost at the end of the queue to hear that the rides broken down, anyway we decide to wait and within 10 mins we’re up and going again, whoooo girls enjoyed this ride. We walk back to meet up with my parents & decide to call it a day for today at 1pm. We stop off for a few more supplies from Walmart and then for a swim. Girls in bed at 6, and were closely behind at 7!!

Tomorrow Animal Kingdom & Do we get picked for the opening????

Great day, love CP, never had breakfast there though :goodvibes

Keep um coming Karen.:thumbsup2
How cold was it? would you reccommend Feb?

There was no wasted time on this day. You managed to get so much done it's no wonder it felt like you'd put in a full day by 1PM. You're planning and knowledge of how things work paid off. Having and willing and able group members helped, too, I imagine. I'll be watching for your next installment.

Some morning's and evening were really quite cool maybe around 38, but then the afternoon's soon warmed up, I think the warmest day was about 85.
My DH has always thought that selling Hot Chocolate at WDW was bizarre, but he doesn't think that anymore

We would definately return in Feb again :thumbsup2 The 1st week was great, very quite but the crowds arrived in time for our 2nd week, but then it was Presidents week and the UK half term, but with a plan and fastpasses you could get things done :goodvibes

We have never got soooo much done in what really was a short time in all the visit's we've made :goodvibes , the lack of waits was fantastic :thumbsup2
To be honest at times I would leave the children with my parents whilst DH & I would steam ahead and get fasspasses as otherwise we wouldn't have achieved as much :rolleyes1

Great update Karen, lovely pics.I was all excited booking CRT for brekkie next month,so as to be in MK when it's virtually empty,to get some great pics. Then they changed the hours to EMH :headache: .
I have always wanted to try the Astro Orbitor's but a little worried i would get stuck in them :rotfl: .
Ooohh deffinatley looking forward to your next update with that added teaser at the bottom :) .x.

SUNDAY 8TH FEB

ANIMAL KINGDOM:

Well once again we’re up really early …youngest DD at 4!! & her sister 40 mins later ;)
We arrive at AK at 8am, there’s already a few waiting in line, so we do the same, we’re at the front of one line and the girls are full of excitement:yay: whilst waiting a CM comes up to us and starts to chat, asking where we’re from and talks a bit of Soccer talk with my DH and then leaves and walks to a family just behind us, and before we know it they are being ushered to the front, they have been picked to open the park, how disappointed are we
DSC01949.jpg

So then we make our way to the rope drop, we wait and I’m searching for our camera as we’re right behind the rope, when a CM catches me really unaware and off guard and he ask’s me if we’re going to ride the safari 1st?, well I was more than puzzled and because the girls had said they wanted to ride Primeval Whirl 1st, I said no, so he moves on and the next thing I see is a family being guided to the safari!, how foolish did I feel?, this just wasn’t meant to be our day was it!! The rest of the family then started to say why didn’t you say Yes!!, it’s ok for them they weren’t the one who’d put this holiday together, it’s me that does all the planning, so as you can probably understand I was feeling rather miffed with myself :headache:
DSC01951.jpg
DSC01956.jpg

Anyway we head over to DinoLand and take the girls on Primeval Whirl infact we ride it 3 times!!, youngest DD has never been tall enough before, she loved it :yay: , we then get fast passes for EE return time of 10.10 - 11.10, next we do the Pangani exploration trail and once we exit we go to get fast passes for Kilamanjaro 10.58 - 11.58. We eventually head back to EE, now there was no way my Mum was going to do this :upsidedow , we had 6 fast passes and now our DD’s decided they weren’t going to join us either :confused3 , so DH & I ride 1st we’re in row 8, then DH & my Dad & finally DH & I ride again this time in row 3!!, the ride was much better, I really didn’t enjoy it in 2007 but then again I was suffering with a what the Dr’s here thought was a virus that was affecting my Heart :rotfl2:
DSC01971.jpg
DSC02041.jpg

Anyway all now feeling a little peckish, we head over to the Flame Tree Barbeque for an early lunch, 1st we have a look at the allergy list to see if my eldest DD can eat here, it’s fine so we get in line, and we wait ages and ages as there’s a bit of a problem at one of the tills. Lunch was nice, but my eldest DD was being a bit of a diva about the ducks!!, and youngest DD decided to have a shower in Coke!! :rolleyes1
So we head back to the Safari, then we let the girls play on the Bongo drums for a while before heading over to the Lion King which my Mum absolutely loves….we we’re seated in the Giraffe section, and our eldest DD got up to dance with the performers, no matter how many times we've seen this we all love it. We watch the parade in Africa with an ice cream and then head for the car.

Another early night…

Tomorrow EPCOT:

Lovin it so far.
Plenty of pics to follow with the story :thumbsup2
And believe me I sympathise with your DH with regards to IASW. I'm sure my kids only drag me on here so they can laugh at me humming the tune all day.
