I missed last year's contest. What were the challenges they had you all compete in? Was it just one winner last year too?

I'm sure Kenny will be able to give you more details, but from what I learned, It was an on-line vote through YouTube where 25...or was it 26 winners got to live out their Dream Job as a Haunted Mansion CM, or Princess In Waiting, or Pirate, or Jungle Cruise Guide, or High School Musical performer. Also if you check out Kenny's trip report, he has a ton of info and pics on there.

There's a great YouTube video that many of last years winners put together to get into this year's contest. Unfortunatley, they were not eligible... but I'm pretty sure I saw an entries from Kenny and Ricky (ITM) using different names...

LOL. I must have missed the part where Ann thought that you and I were the same person. Nope! I think the only multiple personality we have seen was when Fleagle did Rhoda Dakota which I thought was very funny, but we quickly found out that it was against the rules of the board.

I just had a really busy week last week and could not get to the computer as much as I wanted to. I am thankful that you were my cheering section. I'm sure if this were a webcam chat, you'd be holding up a poster board like you see on American Idol saying "Tripp West 4 CMO!!!!"

I was thinking about this Justin, that all of the "on or about" calls came in the early afternoon Eastern time.

Last year was TOTALLY different. There were 20 finalists announced for each of 5 categories. Butler/Maid, Pirate, Skipper, Parader, Princess. Same extended voting with the 5 image captcha code stuff. Winning 5 people from EACH category were taken to Disneyland to live out our dream jobs.

Scoring was different. Voting only counted for 16.66% of the total score, this year it is supposed to be 100%.

There were no challenges, except for wearing a 50 lb coat in 90 degree heat.

I think they are still having voting problems in the Florida precinct. After counting all the hanging chads, they've determined that an entire party voted too early and they might throw out the votes all together. Oh to be a super delegate!

It did come off (to me) as though you already knew each other very well prior to the competition.

Especially during the phone in request time. I felt as though he was sitting right next to you and could just poke you and tell you what to play .

Evidently, you simply have a very dedicated and genuine fan along for your ride! Good luck Tripp in your magical journey for the perfect job !

(aside - "Dangling Chads"...lol) It seemed that most of the calls came toward the end of the week. AND, I took all of my calls while at my wife's office. I have to drop by there today to pick up mail. Maybe I'll get a call. Everyone I have run into today wants to know.

Good Morning, or is it afternoon? I just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone. HELLO! I have been soooo busy campaigning! I have been to the Irish Pubs on St. Patrick's Day, I have been to the Farmer's Markets, I had spent 3 days at Downtown Disney handing out flyers and buttons. My 4 year old has told me that she Never wants to wear that (vote for Amy Kate) T- shirt again! She wore one for 2 weeks straight! Poor kid, she does have a flare for fashion.
Everyone I have met in the last 2 days tells me that they have been voting for me.
Everywhere I have been in the last 2 days wants to know. Who were the top 3 vote getters?
The phone calls and emails keep coming in with warm wishes and, "I been voting for you!"
So sweet. It's been great making lots of new friends, too!
I mostly popped in to let you all know what I've been up to since I haven't been spending any time on this board. And I want to congratulate the other 9 candidates on running great campaigns! It has been a blast! I hope someday we will all be able to meet in person. If anyone, loyal Disboarders and Disney Fans on this thread and CMO candidates past and present, are going to be coming to Disneyland, let me know when you will be coming. I would love to run down to the Park and meet you! You all seem like wonderful folks!
I am going out of my mind with anticipation to know who the top 3 are.
I'll definately be checking in periodically here too, to see what you all are up to.

I wish...that would probably be my dream job competition...to be a DJ for the day. If that were the case I suppose we would have heard the Jonas Brother request from the other poster....which we didn't.

I think Tripp owes her that song for tomorrow.

The next leg of the Tripp campaign (fingers crossed) will be in Washington D.C.

Just fyi, I am a stay-at-home-mom now....was previously a banker turned headhunter with a few years as a vocalist in a sound-alike recording studio. I am currently opening up a weight loss support program!
