Nope, I had heard about it but dont enter contests.
Much too shy for this kind of stuff.
Found the DisBoards while researching DVC.
I really started following after the thread changed over.
Dropped in when I could and followed along.
This is the first discussion board I have ever been on.
Got the Disney fever our last 2 trips, mostly because of the boys, and the wife is a big Disney fan.
Now I can safely say I am a Disboard fanatic.
So much great info on all of the boards its hard to know which to open lately.
But I always seem to come here first to see "Wats Happenin".
I also have to comment that I have not met as many nice people as are on this thread!
Thanks everyone for bringing a lurker out of the closet.

I'm in the same boat as 3guysandagal. When I heard of the CMO contest, I thought it might be really fun to try for it. I decided against it because I too am shy and I really didn't have the time nor the know how to make a good video. I have followed both threads from beginning to end. This is my first discussion board too. I stumbled across the DIS site after our last WDW trip. I have found lots of good info and pictures and have been addicted ever since.

Wow! No one even made mention of my little diddy until now. I was hoping I didn't upset anyone. It was all in good fun. Needless to say my favorite artist is Weird Al Yankovic.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! It has really shocked me to see who DIDN'T enter! And how closely those same people have followed this contest.....then again, I was out practically before it started, and I just cannot look away!!!

I have an entire hospital's services to design by then
And the fact that we just got back Dec 11/07 from 2 wks at the world.

YAY!!! I am on at the same time as MadBrad!!! *when does he sleep??*

Impressed with the updates last night and in the am Brad! THANKS (from someone who gave up WAY too early)

From now until the end of April, I'll be working all night (6 pm - 6 am).
I'll be sleeping during the day with only one day off during the week. This time of year is really busy where I work. I usually work rotating 12 hr shifts but I'm working night shift for now.

In the interest of full disclosure, and a bit of 'what have I got to lose at this point'........

Gotta say, BTM, that I felt that your support of Tripp was never really acknowledged by him, you know?

You really put yourself out there and threw all you had into his ring........and unless you ARE him, he really never seemed to reciprocate in the same manner.

Just my two cents which is not worth anything at this point in the race.

Not sure...I think he had a lot of on-site promo stuff this weekend. I heard him check in on air a couple of places on Saturday. Star94 had some of their DJ's playing music at our neighborhood Easter Party for the kids Saturday...coincidence???

We were there at the same time! I didn't have two weeks though.....from the 8th through the 15th though......what a magical time of year to go!

I took my two out of school (6th and 4th graders). That was tough right before they got out for Christmas.

But the weather was awesome and now I want to do the same thing again this year!

It broke the bank though....we did the meal plan and it came to about a $3750.00 trip!

I can't do it that way again (and that was at a value resort).

Every year I would wake up and find my chocolate rabbit with its ears missing...my brother bit the ears off EVERY year. It was so irritating, but now it is so funny!

He acknowledged it in the very beginning. Past that...I wasn't really expecting a big cheering section about my support. I only wanted to make sure I shared my opinions and enthusiasm for him making Top 10 and my hopes that he made Top 3. I knew his video wasn't as creative as some of the others, but it was sincere. I only wanted to help because I have heard about his love of Disney over the years of listening to Star94 and I felt he really deserved a hardcore cheering section.

Nah, WANT yes, NEED no. I have to keep those separate. I'm very blessed in life and always see our needs met, and so often see our wants granted to. I've got some many strories I could tell of our wonderful faith-walk. Cars, homes and land given to us without even asking anyone for them. As Yakov Smirnov used to say, "Vat a country!"

It was beautiful weather the whole time for us too.
80s every day and misted rain one day.
The parks were fantastic after the Thanksgiving weekend until about Dec 4, walked on to most of the rides with a max wait of 15mins on EE and BTM.
We want to do it again this year also.

Well, you certainly gave him a hardcore cheering section, and, again, for what it is worth, you deserved more from him (imho).

The video was all any of us had to enter the competition though........so you would be WOWED by my love of Disney that was beyond my video but I really tried to convey that love IN my video!

Wish I would have made Top 10, with the type of backing you give, someone would be sure to go on. You are a real fan BTM
