Since these candidates are vying for our votes.....maybe they would like to know who is here?

AnnDisneyFan present! :yay:

Question #5: While waiting for the parade to begin, you see a family where the father is bored, the mother is busy trying to keep her children in the basic area, the 3 year boy is running in circles yelling and the 9 year old girl is saying she is tired. You have one "award" to give -- who do you pick and why?

The obvious solution is simply to get the parade rolling sooner. Of course that award really effects everyone in the park that want's to see the parade. If the schedule says the parade starts at a certain time it needs to start at that time, or a LOT of folks miss the parade because it started sooner then it was supposed to. And then there is of course the fact that mom and dad are still tired. In my experience the trick here is to get the three year old into a more controlled situation, get mom and dad off their feet, and give the little girl something to do. I'd have to go with a trip to the nearest, longest attraction in the area...the kids are instantly entertained, and mom and dad get a rest. Of course, as they exit, the parade is starting, mom and dad are refreshed, and the kids are still occupied and entertained.

SNOW WHITE: Sorry Dopey! Let me help you out here:

Question #6: If you had a choice to give an amazing "Dream" to a newly married couple, a family with two small children, or a group of friends... who would you select and why?

I'm not CMO material, but I'd like to answer in a way. My first Disney trip was WDW 1990 for the second part of our honeymoon. Loved it so much that we took our 2 kids back years later, then added a 3rd kid. We have been 7 or 8 times in 5 years and 3 times in one year to Disneyland. We have taken friends on all but the first family trip. Everyone wins!!!

With our next question, please welcome DONALD!

{Donald Trump enters}

DONALD: Oh... you were expecting the Duck. Well, Donald Duck is, of course, the greatest in the world. But when you talk about DISbates, you've got to have THE Donald with you. I see the CMO as a bit of a Celebrity Apprentice (NBC, Thursdays at 9) So... you candidates:

Question #3: Obviously, becoming CMO would mean the world to everyone. But do you have any unusual/unique reasons why it means so much to you?

Karrie Dunkin's Response: I think I covered most of those reasons in the Top Ten list in my opening remarks, however, I would have to say that the Dream CMO contest is like a second chance...a magical opportunity to blow the pixie dust off of those lifelong dreams and make them come true! :cloud9: ONLY at Disney!

Question #6: If you had a choice to give an amazing "Dream" to a newly married couple, a family with two small children, or a group of friends... who would you select and why?

I have worked with families so much and the family unit is important to me, so I would award an amazing “Dream” to the family among these three choices. Of course, a married couple and a group of friends are also families.

I'd select the family with two small children. This is similar to Justin's earlier answer--imagine that!! The most likely reason that the newly married couple and the group of friends came to Disney is that they've already had a taste of the Disney magic. That's probably also why the family has brought their two small children with them. Anyone who has ever felt Disney magic would want to see that magic kindled in two small children. Those memories are the ones that bring people back to Disney years later. Seeing anyone experience that Disney magic for the first time inevitably makes you remember how you first experienced that same magic! It's a win-win situation for everybody!

With our next question, please welcome Howie Mandel!

{Howie enters surrounded by 26 leggy supermodels carrying numbered cases}

HOWIE: Ok candidates, Disney has got a deal for you. Let's open up one case.

DONALD DUCK {from the audience}: NUMBER ONE! FOR ME! DONALD DUCK, NUMBER ONE!

HOWIE: Ok...Svetlana, open your case.

{Svetlana opens her case to reveal $1,000}

DONALD: I WON! I WON! QQQWHWHWHWQQQWHWW!!!!!

HOWIE: No, Donald, we're going to use that amount in our next question.

DONALD: OH PHOOEY!

Question #7: If Disney comes to you on your first day as CMO and offers you the chance to create your own prize for YOAMD, with a $1,000 cost limit, what would you do?

I think you could send them to the Tiki Room and Iago can help them all take a nice nap!

Question #7: If Disney comes to you on your first day as CMO and offers you the chance to create your own prize for YOAMD, with a $1,000 cost limit, what would you do?

I’d pull out a calculator (my math skills are a little rusty!), figure out how many people I could get into the parks for a day, and then select a lucky family to join me.

We’d jump in a Disney bus, head out to the Orlando (or Anaheim!) area, and find as many people as we were allowed to take with us. We’d grab folks from the fry machines at McDonalds, people washing dishes in restaurants, people working with children and senior citizens, and anyone else who seemed like they really needed and deserved a special, magical, Disney surprise. :woohoo:

Through this, we get to grant dozens of wishes to people who are most unsuspecting, and a family gets to participate in the magic of sharing Disney with others. Again, feels like everyone wins to me! :thumbsup2

Candidates and viewers, just a reminder.... its totally okay if the responses lag behind just a bit. We want to get through all of the questions... but if you are responding a few questions back, nothing hurt. We'll all be reading and re-reading as we decide who to vote for.

Question #7: If Disney comes to you on your first day as CMO and offers you the chance to create your own prize for YOAMD, with a $1,000 cost limit, what would you do?

Breakfast – lunch – and dinner. Character breakfast, of course, for the entire party. Lunch at Club 33, yum! Turkey dinner in Granvilles in the Disneyland Hotel complete with a whole turkey to be carved by the family and lots of lima beans and broccoli!! Right now my family is probably reading this and saying, “That’s all he thinks about in the Park is eating.”

Glad to be reassured again. . . I'm just about out of material that I had the chance to work on ahead of time . . . must type faster, must type faster . . .

(p.s. Thanks Mom for making me take keyboarding class in high school when I thought it was totally UNcool!):flower3:

With our next question, please welcome, the Squirrel from The Emperor's New Groove!

{SQUIRREL scampers in}

SQUIRREL: squeeky, squeak, squeekum... squeeeeky, squeek, squeek, crizzle, squeek.

{audience looks dazed and confused}

KRONK {offstage} COMING THROUGH!!!!

{He rushes on}

KRONK: I can translate:

Question #8: The afternoon parade is having technical difficulties. As CMO, you've just been told to entertain the crowd on Main Street, to buy some time. What do you do, to not only entertain, but to make some magical experiences for some guests?

Question #6: If you had a choice to give an amazing "Dream" to a newly married couple, a family with two small children, or a group of friends... who would you select and why?

I'd have to go with the family with two small children. First, it wouldn't be fair to choose my friends. Second...trust me when I say that the newly married couple are having a magical time anyway. I mean come on, their probably on their honeymoon...doesn't get any more magical then that. As parents of three, my wife and I always have a great time with the kids when visiting the Disney parks. But just like the family in the last question there are those "less them magical" moments, and I'd want to do whatever I could to really bring the day back to life for that family.

We are honored to have a VERY special guest for our next question:

Please welcome Vice President Dick Cheney!

{CHENEY enters in his quail hunting gear}

CHENEY: Sit down, be quiet... not much time here. Got to get back under Space Mounta... uh... to my secret underground bunker. Here's my question:

Question #4: If you had to choose a Vice-CMO from among the Top 10, who would you choose and why?

Karrie Dunkin's Response:

Oh my gosh, Fleagle and Company! :lmao: I am now laughing my head off because I KNOW Dick Cheney (but I've never seen him in his camoflauge thank goodness!). I was the correspondent to a Wyoming U.S. Senator (Al Simpson) when Dick (not that I'm by any means on a first-name basis here!) was the Secretary of Defense and I would often see him in Cheyenne and in WDC. But I never thought to look for him under Space Mountain! :rotfl2: The Vice-CMO is a hard appointment because there are just way too many people on disboards that would do a fantastic job. Okay...I'm going to have to go with KTP again. pirate: He's experienced, involved, loyal, ethical, fun AND connected. Now if we could just get him to stop making little girls cry.

Question #8: The afternoon parade is having technical difficulties. As CMO, you've just been told to entertain the crowd on Main Street, to buy some time. What do you do, to not only entertain, but to make some magical experiences for some guests?

I would start a “discovery session” game between two groups waiting together on opposite sides of the parade route. I would start by asking each “side” where they were from, then ask each side where they ate lunch, then ask each person to stand in a line in the middle of the parade route. Each person would whisper their favorite attraction and put themselves alphabetically in the line by favorite attraction name without regard to which “side” they are on. Adults and children would then shout out their favorite attraction, children and adults, and the other guests would get to see how well everone knows the alphabet.

As someone who has just lost a boatload of weight, I ALSO think about eating in the Park all the time too!!!

You just got some votes from me --- cause I am hungry!!!! :thumbsup2
