CMO TOP 10 Announced

Financial mainly and also some entertainment placements as well...........oh, this is just fun for me to pass the time as we wait until you can announce one way or the other.......for what it is worth, I don't think you are the same person, I just have this sneaky feeling that you already knew one another previously.

I'd like to think I have known Tripp for many years, but that is just how I feel since I have been listening to him on air for that long. When people talk about themselves to some degree on air you kinda feel like you know them.

Seriously, I think the only time I met Tripp was about 2 years ago or so when he was doing a remote near my work. It involved free ice cream and I had my kids with me. Mmmmm....free ice cream. I was just another listener showing up for free stuff.

So, the only reason for my unwaivering support is because I have heard Tripp talk about his many annual Disney trips on-air over the years and I felt he deserved it. Not to mention I think it kinda stunk that he couldn't even say anything on-air about it. I think that working at a radio station put him at a significant disadvantage. He can't say anything on-air, he can't go to another radio station for an on-air interview about it because it would be a competing station and no local press was done. I was just trying to do what I could.

One person that really lucked out in the press department was Justin. Congrats to him for living somewhere that they cared about him and his story.

I know you are just killing time and I am certainly not offended...just hoped that you'd believe me and my efforts.

I know the pic I posted earlier was a tad old, so here is a more current one. I have since colored my hair...grew a beard and moustache, but as you can see I still look nothing like Tripp.

Envy is a very tricky thing Tripp. I don't begrudge you this opportunity at all! I have come in this thread almost every day since I joined (and many days before that lurking).

I am sure you have seen the progression of some of the posters from being really excited about their own entry to downright depressed about now being selected. Comparisons have been made and videos, rules and qualifications picked to shreds.

People have come in here and stayed. Some others that were Top 20 and didn't make it to Top 10 have gone on to other things.....I earned my Cat Proclamation though.....I am living in a state of Disney Denial as I am still hoping and praying that Disney made an oversight and the call is coming!

So, here it goes again, if I offended anyone by my suspicions regarding Tripp and BTM, I am truly sorry. Just my silly little inquiring mind going wacky as usual. Tripp, as I have said before, the support BTM has given you is remarkable.

I just an unnatural attachment to this competition and a teeny bit of knowledge of how headhunting works (p.s. and in my humble opinion, it is not this way!)........maybe I am simply wishing I were still in the competition to see if I had what it took to get the votes. I really wanted this....and I apparently am not over it yet. Sincere good luck to you though.

Wow. You did not have to appologize. I don't think anyone was offended. I actually found it quite commical that you thought we (BTM and me) were one in the same. I like your spunkyness and persistence. It keeps everyone in check.

Just kidding....your support of Tripp is great! When Eric and I first saw his entry we figured it was OVER. How could you compete with a DJ? I even told my students about Tripp and how it would be near impossible to beat someone with access to so the masses! But I think you're right. And the more we thought about it and the more he posted here the more we liked him! In fact, I gave him quite a few votes while he was vacationing at Disney because I felt sorry for him....he wasn't able to sit at a computer and vote for himself over and over and over again. But then again, he WAS at Disney...so I didn't feel sorry for him for long! Still one of my favs though.
