CM Tickets - Any guesses???

New Main Entrances Passes and reusable Guest Passes were mailed to all CM's last year. The CM has the Guest Passes currently has ( or should have) in their possession and when used, the CM is responsible for getting them back from their guests at the end of the day. If they lose them they have to pay to get new ones reissued. They cannot be issued at Guest Relations on the day of entry. Gr does not handle any MEP ticketing with the exception of exchanging CM Complimentary printed paper tickets that have to be exchanged for RFID media.

This response was interesting to me. I wonder if there is a difference in procedure for Florida cast vs. Connecticut cast. When my DH got his main gate pass the letter that accompanied it said that he had to request the re-usable Guest Passes in advance of his trip or that he could pick them up at Guest Relations once at a resort. All I know for sure is that my DH definitely doesn't have his 3 guest passes currently in his possession. I guess we will have to get that sorted out before out trip in August.

Anyway...the real reason I'm responding to this right now is that I see that offsite visitors will finally be able to pre-book FP+ starting next week. That must mean that the ability to link CM tickets can't be that far behind...right, right?? ::yes:: OK, maybe wishful thinking on my part. :)

I wonder if CMs staying onsite will eventually get the same 60 day window as all other on-site visitors. Also makes me wonder what will be offered to local CMs and their guests not staying onsite...30 days? 60 days?

On thing's for sure...we'll eventually find out!

Your DH should request his 3 Guest Passes now so that you will be able to link them to MDE once CMs are allowed to pre-book Fp+.

It will be interesting to see how many days in advance they will allow CMs to select Fp. I highly doubt they will be given 60 days even if staying onsite.

My dad is a CM and received his 3 guest passes some time ago (like well over 6 months ago.) I haven't had to have him get me into the parks because I have an AP, but I know he was denied access for his guests a month or two ago because of crowds or something. Wasn't orignally a blackout day, apparently.

I will have to ask him if anything has been said to him about pre-booking FP for day guests using his guest passes.

Also, when chatting with some CMs while waiting for the FOF a few weeks ago, they told me they were told they would receive the ability to pre-book Fps after APs received the MBs/prebook capability. I want to say those CMs were told they would have a 30 day window (or were told it would be similar to APs.)

Oh my gosh...you are so right...I didn't even think of that! I will have him request those guest passes right away!

I really, really hope they will give on-site CMs and their guests a 60 day window just like all other on-site guests. We travel quite a distance to visit WDW and, even with his CM discounts, we still spend a large amount of money when we are down there. Seems to me that CMs should have the same opportunities offered to them if they are staying on-site. But, that's must my opinion. :goodvibes

Here's hoping!!

Thanks again for the reminder to get those Guest Passes in hand! :)

You're welcome! Hope pre-selecting happens before your trip! Last month, CM DD and I stayed at AoA and our MBs were used for the room and purchases... hope yours will be good for everything MDE related!:)

Is Connecticut CM at Espn? If so, it is different than sparks & Resorts CM's. "Normally" they would get their Guest media from someone within their worksite organizational structure.

From talking with some folks I know on the NextGen team when I worked entries last week, wishful thinking (soon) on your part, at least that is what I was told.

Yes, ESPN...I believe my DH sorted out today how to go about requesting his Guest Passes.

Bummer about the "wishful thinking" and "soon" part. Oh well.

Thank you so much for updating me though. At least I know not to get my hopes up!:rotfl:

What department does Connecticut CM work in, I do field audio work for ESPN shows. The buzz is that we field workers will soon taken in as employees, instead of vendors/contractors. Not sure if that will come with any CM benefits or not. I know from my father-in-law that there is some benefits for part timers.

The current hope is to allow CMs to pre book FP by end of fiscal year, sept/oct.

7 days.

I'm not sure about the field workers so I can't help you with that. But, I do believe that part timers at espn get main gate passes. I hope it all works out for you! :goodvibes ESPN is a great company to work for!

Wow, a 7 day window for CMs to pre-book FP+. That's not what I was expecting. It would be great if they extended it a bit for CMs and their guests staying on-site.

I was told prior to August.

I'm going to hope this is the more accurate estimate. We are going the first week of August so anytime before that would be awesome!

Do the other 3 Parks have blackouts for July that are similar to the other months that were posted? Appreciate the info :)

With 4th of July on a Friday, DHS will probably be blocked out that weekend. On Presidents' Day weekend, the only park that had been blocked out that complete weekend was DHS...

I would not recommend linking (or trying to link) a main entrance pass until the official announcement comes that it can be done. I know people who have, and have then had issues getting into the parks, and had to go to the cast admissions office and replace their main entrance pass.

From Disney:
"More information will be shared later this year around linking Main Entrance Passes and Guest Passes to My Disney Experience, as well as making Disney FastPass+ selections in advance. At this time, please do not link your passes to your My Disney Experience account."

Just in case any CMs are scanning this thread and missed the announcement... eTickets CAN be linked, there are directions on the Hub how to do it.

MEP and Guest passes will be linkable hopefully this fall.
