CM Stories

Wow it just occured to me I've never seen a thread 4 CM stories! I'm sure I'm not the only one whose met a CM who made or wrecked their day. I'll start the thread off right with a happy story.

This one time my family and I were in DD and we went by the VC thing. The CM comes over to us and asks my sisters and I what our favorite Disney Movie is. I said Aladdin, and he was like"Which one?" I said all of them. So he asked me who the voice of genie was in the 2nd movie(the dude who plays homer Simpson). He kept asking us trivia questions and then told us how his 1st WDW job was through the college Program. He said he used to work at TL serving hot dogs, but when it rained he would get everyone inside and give out cookies to anyone who got his questions right. He was really nice, and I was in a much better mood after talking with him.

So... got any good stories?

My most memorable and fav:
(This took place last July.) So my mom and I took a mother daughter trip to WDW. We were staying at a Resort hotel so we stayed after for EMH at MK. We saw the haunted mansion and decided to go on it because 12AM + HM = FUN and No lines...
so we walked straight into the room where Master Gracey talks to us. There was one other family. I'm smiling because the kids eyes are huge and this one CM was staring the kid down. It looks like the kid is literally about to pee in his pants. So i'm smiling throughout the whole thing, and at the part where it shows the other way out i laughed a scream.. so the lights came back on and we started to exit.. i notice the CM has disappeared so i was like.. ok. All of the sudden he pops out from behind me and gives a boo. I scream in fright/surprise and he starts laughing.

this past trip:
we (my mom, a friend, and I) were waiting in line at the POR cafeteria at 11:30. This on, CM, is looking like he didn't want to be there. So we start chatting with him and he cracks a smile. Somehow.. we got him to dance and we laughed.. so we were just about to leave when I was like OH! picture! my mom hands me the camera and we get a picture of him dancing.

My friend Lauren and I were at Blizzard Beach and there was this one hot lifeguard who wouldn't smile so we sat on the other side of the pool and got him to laugh.

Some guy at California Screamin' screamed at my friends and I for putting our carry-on items on the other side of the dock (you know, like you're told to do on every other roller coaster in the world that's not at a Disney park?) It was our first time riding it, we didn't know they had little bags on the seat to put our stuff in. G-a-heeze.

When we were riding Pinocchio, the guy setting us off was perturbed about something. He asked if we were having a good time, and we said yeah. He responded sarcastically, "Well, of course. This is just the happiest place on earth!" And grimaced. Hahah.

As for good CM stories, IDK. Most of them are really nice. Whenever I go in the Disney Store with my mom at our local mall we always talk to the guy who runs it about his old CM experiences at Disneyland.

I have way to many CM stories so i'll post some now and some later.

1. After the streching room in HM, this one CM screams "push, shove, I don't care just GET OUT!!!!!!!" Then I start laughing and he stares at me and says "YOU will be the first to join our 999 haunts"

2. While waiting to go into the blue tunnel on SM a CM comes over the loud speaker and says "Testing testing, Its a small world after all" And everyone riding bursted out in laughter.

3. I always wear 2 pin lanyards with about 20 pins on each, so a lot of CMs stop me and look at my pins. One time I was about to get on ITTBAB and this one CM stops me and says " Wow you have alot of pins, you even have an alien encounter one." then she calls over about 3 other CMs to look at my pins, and after that a whole bunch of other people start to look at them, and I kept on getting complimented on my pins later that day.

4. While on KS, at the part where the CM asks if we should stop the poachers I always scream "NO WAY, JOSE." so one time after screaming that the driver says " My names not Jose, and because you called me the wrong name, we're going to go stop the poachers, HA!" It was really funny at the time, and its my tradition now to scream that every time I go on KS.

All the HM stories reminded me of this one time my mom my sis and I were going on the HM. Now that always seemed like the hardest ride to be a CM 4 'cause u have 2 b all serious. This one guy who looked like he was about 12 was taking the FP tickets well he just stared off into space as he took my ticket and my mom's, but then he ATE my sisters ticket. I have to admitt he kept a straight face the whole time we were there. I was very impressed.

The cast member at ToT could see I was freaking out about going on the ride, and to have fun, came over and was telling me these wacky tales about people who rode it and died. They were completely random things, like a 10 year old with a teddy bear or something, but I was such a chicken, I didn't care. He then laughed and asked if I knew he was kidding.

You know how at 50's Primetime the Waiters and Waitresses pretend their your relatives? Well this one cm was DEEP in her part! She gave my dad a hug, she looked at me and squealed"I haven't seen this one since she was a baby!" By the end of it my sister was CONVINCED she was actually related to us!

the waiter there did the classic "what color is the soap" thing, but when the little boy got it wrong they made him sit at our table for the rest of the meal.
