Thought it was interesting. . .

I recently began a thread mentioning that our household receives Disney mail and Pin Codes under two separate names-----as my husband and I do not share the same last name.

A handful of weeks back, I received a resort Pin Code for 16%. The offer was effective until 7/28. This week my husband received the same mailer. . .but his offer was for 30% off.

I called Disney just to get a room quote (with the 30%). . . then having read that people would ask the CMs if there were any other Pin Codes attached to their names. I asked out of curiosity.

She pulled up my name and said there was nothing attached to it. . .and yet I have the paperwork!

It doesn't matter in this case of course. . .and I would guess if I wanted the lesser deal, I could offer up the pin code and get the 16%. . .

Though I was just surprised that it was not in their system. . . wonder if this happens often? . . .or if it was just a glitch. To confirm, she did go over the spelling of my name, address, zip code, etc. etc. . .

Probably just a technical glitch. I'm sure if you read off your 16% off pin they would accept it.

I think the point she is trying to make is many of us call in weekly to see if we have PINs, but maybe they are not showing up due to this glitch....??

The same thing happened to me about a month ago.. I recieved my first PIN ever - not a great deal, just ticket upgrade to hopper/water parks. But it was my FIRST PIN and I wanted to use it. After 20 minutes on the phone with the CM, it was determined that it was linked to an old address from 7 years ago - although I have definitely updated my info since then. I am hoping that I am now in the PIN loop and will recieve a better offer!
