I am new to all of this. DD will be arriving in January to start the college program.

I saw online that those doing DCP can get room discounts. How does this work? I also read that there are blackout dates. We will be going March 12th-19th. My husband likes the cabins and wants to stay there again. Are these offered with the discount? If so how much is it? (Just trying to decide if I should book with Florida resident discount or wait to book with CM discount) We will also need to get two cabins, can this be done? Thanks for any help! :)

Resorts can be limited. For March 5th to 11th no values were available last night.

Most likely two cabins will not be available. One was available as of last night for the 5th to 11th.

Also cm family discount is 40% on limited rooms.

I had to book my March trip in July.

Thank you! I guess I will book with the regular discount. I can not book with CM discount yet, because she doesn't start till January 18th. Thank you for looking for me. :)

I have done that in the past to get the resort I wanted.

To add, if your daughter is staying at the resort with you the discount is higher.

Correct it is 60%.

Standard is 50%. If they offer the deeper discount of 60% the FF is usually bumped to 50% when it's usually 40%, but it's not guaranteed.

OP - is book the Florida rate and then have your daughter check availability with her CM rate. Since you can cancel a room only up until 5 days prior there's no harm in canceling and rebooking at the better rate, even if you only get one cabin with her CM discount.

Thank you! I will do that. :)
