We are going to MVMCP on my DD 6th birthday. Which dinner is more fun? Which has better food? I do like the idea of being in the park when it starts but the earlist PS I could get for LTT is 6:15 . CM could take us earlier. Thanks.

It depends on your child and how "obsessive" you are about getting things done at MVMCP.

I would definitely want to be already in the park when the party starts. My main goal is to get to the big ticket rides with the least amount of lines, as this is one of our only times at MK for this trip. We will see the 11 pm parade. But, my DS's are 7 & 10. I have a 6:55 PS at LTT. I plan to try for a 5:30 or so, 60 days out, at CRT (if it's available). If not, I plan to show up at LTT at 5 pm to check in early. Hopefully, we can get in earlier.

LTT is fun, but it really depends on your DD. The food is family style. If she is picky, I would think that a buffet (CM) would be more enjoyable. But, you have to weigh that option with the fact that you will enter the party at starting time with everyone else. If you're just going for the atmosphere, this option is totally fine. But, if you're OCD like me and have X amount of rides planned for the evening, this may not be the best plan.

Perhaps you could consider CRT, if it's available. The children can order from a child's menu. I don't know if you have breakfast planned for here, but dinner is certainly a nice alternative.

You'll have a great time, whatever you choose!

We did Ltt and had a great time and we were able to be the first in line for the family photo which is no small feat! Have fun!;)

I'd go with the 6:15 PS at LTT. Even if it takes an hour for dinner, you 'll already be in the park - no waiting at the gates and no crush of people to deal with on Main Street as the party begins.

We liked the food at LTT - yes, it's served family style, but they have the traditional kids favorites. My 5 year old nephew loved the macaroni and cheese. I personally liked the food better - it reminded me of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and then some. The character interaction was very good and the restaurant was quieter (but still festive) and much less chaotic than CM. No children running back and forth to the buffet. (JMHO, but I think your DD will get more attention at LTT than at CM).

Whatever you decide, hope your DD has a wonderful birthday!

We'll stick with LTT and try to get in earlier. My DH loves traditional Turkey dinner and my kids love Mac and cheese.

Where can I get info on the shows, parades and special events for that night. Last time we were there the show outside the Castle was great and we'd like to catch it again. Also, which rides are open? Thanks again

What day are you going? We're going on Thurs. the 5th.

I think LTT is an excellent choice! Like I said, it really depends on your child's tastes! If she loves mac-n-cheese, you're set! And, I do agree that it's a MUCH calmer environment than CM and that she will get more attention!

Probably closer to the date, there will be more extensive info. on the shows, etc. Traditionally, the parades are at 9 and 11 pm, with the fireworks at 10 pm (I think). SOmeone usually posts the schedule after the 1st night of the party.

ENJOY!

We're going on the 17th. Last time we went earlier in the month. I hope the later dates are'nt more crowded.
I read on WDWIG that birthday kids get all kinds of special attention, if you let it be known. I'm going to tell all, so my DD has an unforgettable birhtday.;)
