I am concerned that until this Comcast thing is settled that employee morale will suffer another blow. I mean if I were a CM I don't know if I could put on a magical face when all this was swirling around. What are your thoughts, am I off base?

I think most (except for the Store CMs because of the announced proposed sale of the stores by Disney and I'm sure that won't change if a merger were to happen) of the CMs would be happy ... with the hopes that it would improve things. I figure they would think the merger would rid the Company of ME and his Board and that therefore things would improve. Comcast already has stated they want to get the animation department back to where it was and to get the parks back to their glory. That should make CMs happy.

Not necessarily. First of all, you have to believe Comcast when they say that. And, really, what else are they going to say at this point? Of COURSE they're going to SAY that they'll fix everything. They want stockholders on their side. Should they end up controlling the company, those promises could be easily broken.

Also ... it's obvious that a take-over would mean loss of jobs somewhere within Disney. Probably not at the line-worker level, but certainly middle management and above. My bet is that CMs are a lot more worried about that right now.
