We're arriving this Friday, and I have an ADR at 7:30 @ CM. I'm running the Wine and Dine Half on Saturday so we are not doing parks on Friday or Saturday. I thought CM would be great for my son (age8) to get in the spirit as well as provide me with carb loading options. Now I'm reading how horrible the food is. We've eaten here for breakfast and it was not bad. I'll also mention we're staying the whole next week on free dining but this meal is out of pocket. Help!

Most food reviews here on the DIS are pretty negative about the food at CM. That said, many do love it. We all have different tastes and different needs. If CM meets your pre race needs, I say Go for It.
I agree it will be great character interaction for your 8 YO

I've never been for breakfast, but the dinner was absolutely horrible! I would not recommend it to anyone!
