I just got back from a trip to celebrate my birthday with my daughters and grandson. When I checked in, I got a new CM. She was quite nice and was trying to be very helpful. I got uncomfortable with the length of time it was taking for her to check us in, but she finally came back with news that we had a 2-br suite instead of the 1-br I'd booked. She wrote the room numbers on my key card holder and told me there were 2 doors and the key would open both. We were very excited at this but when we went to the room, the key only worked on one of the doors. I went back to Guest Services, waited about half an hour and was told the CM was not authorized to give us that suite. That CM offered me 2 fp's as consolation for the 1 1/2 hours I spent so far at the registration and Guest Services desks. I asked if I could get a dining credit instead and he gave me a complimentary pass for us to go to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner that night. We'd been traveling all day with a 2-year-old and so I asked if I could make it for the next day instead. After he went in the back for some time, he finally returned and offered me a $150 credit, which I accepted.
Just wondering what I should have said or done? I didn't ask for anything from the original CM, she gave it to me, and I did resent the huge amount of time it took for all of this to get resolved. But at the same time I HAD only reserved a 1-br suite and I was very happy with the $150 compensation.
Edited to add: forgot to say I really don't want the original CM to get in trouble!

It is most likely a learning experience for the new CM, and anything that would happen has likely already happened. Hope the rest of your trip is magical!
