Robin Williams was really sweet. He wondered why no one was asking for his autograph and when they told him that we weren't allowed to, he set up a table in the tunnels and signed pics for people. Such a cool guy!

Anyone else meet anyone while working at Disney?

I took David Beckham on a safari... He was alone, without GR that day and I didn't actually know it was him until afterward(Thank God! I don't tend to get starstruck, but the mic went out during the safari, so it was less-than-stellar). I remember pulling up at the dock and thinking, "Wow! That guy looks just like David Beckham!" I don't even think that the people sitting with him knew. I found out just after that safari finished and I went on break. He did say thank you to me...that's always nice--from ANY guests!

Also, I apparently had a rather lengthy conversation w/ Ace from American Idol when I was stationed at FP Return. I didn't have the slightest clue who he was because I don't watch the show. I got mobbed by guests after he left wondering if it was him and if I "got his number". I told them that I didn't know and it was against policy... I would never tell guests that a celebrity is around though. That's bad news...and I believe against policy.

One of my best friends worked at Pirates and was there when Christina Aguilera visited. He said she was quiet, but friendly...who knows?

Another friend worked at Everest and literally ran into Janet Jackson.

I literally bumped into Joey Fatone backstage in the MK. He was with someone from guest services, and we three were literally the only people around. I was in costume but I think the goofy smile on my face translated to "HEYY JOEYY!" He laughed.

I sold some merchandise to the blonde girl in Aquamarine. I'm still not sure who she is but a bunch of my co-workers pointed her out.

It is rumored that Johnny Depp was on the Pirates float dressed up as Captain Jack during the Cast Member only preview of Pirate and Princess Night in Spring 07.

That reminds me of another one. I got to sit next to Joey Fatone during the 3pm parade at MK. He had his daughter with him, and she was so cute! He was really nice.

I have encountered several celebs since "meeting" them is an unfair qualification - we're not allowed to approach them as celebs, just to treat them like regular guests.

Here's a list of my closer encounters:

I've sold candy to Gloria Estefan.
I've let Miley Cyrus into her room after she was locked out (and ran into the rest of the young cast of Hanna Montana.)
I've assisted in escorting the Jonas Brothers through our resort's underground utilidors.
I checked out the DSA for Dylan and Cole Sprouse.
I bought Cody Linley a new shirt to wear on the red carpet at the Disney Channel Games (2008) awards ceremony... after we lost the one that was delivered to him!
I sat next to Neil Patrick Harris at Adventurer's Club. (When he was staying at my resort, a CM assisting him at concierge once tried to look him up in our system as "Doogie Houser.")
I've greeted the Cheetah Girls as they came through the lobby.

I think you're more likely to encounter people doing operations because the rides are what people go there for mostly. My friends doing attractions saw quite a few... Usher, Celine Dion, Matchbox 20, Mariah Carey, John Travolta to name a few.

Sorry to crash your thread since I'm not a CM, but I also ran into John Travolta at WDW in the spring of 2006. I was waiting for row Bravo-1 on Soarin' and the CMs had to move us to Bravo-2 because John's party (which also had a kid from make-a-wish) was being escorted to row 1. My friend asked the CM if it was John Travolta, and the CM just replied "You didn't see anything, he isn't here." They did let us ride twice for the inconvenience however.

While volunteering at Give Kids the World, Robbie Carrico from American Idol and some other young girl performed at the talent show...I had no idea who they were, lol.

When Usher was here, I had to go buy him aftershave lotion from Walmart and deliver it to his room. Then, I passed him in the elevator and had to do a double take b/c I didn't recognize who it was at first.

I also got to see Mariah Carey when she was here. She was taking pictures on the second floor balcony with Minnnie and Mickey at our resort.

Warwick Davis also stayed at our resort and I saw him walking through the lobby. And some other guy from Star Wars came to the desk...he was the principle sound editor and was the voice of somebody...obviously I had no idea who he was.

When I went on a cruise for Spring break in 2006, Joey Fatone was on the ship. He was really laid back and we treated him like anyone else. After 7 days, you get to know a lot of people on the ship. I didn't have any direct interaction(I heard he sang karaoke one night on the ship) but a lot of people said he was very nice. He had like a party of 30! it was insane!

hahah was that this past Spring? My friend was on the DCP but she was in the parks one day, I think Hollywood Studios and she called me and was like I THINK I JUST WALKED BY JOEY FATONE! She was a huge Nsync fan haha. but it could have been a different day, he lives in FL.

Thats all I can remember now. Here's something interesting: Miley Cyrus was "back-doored" and carted around everywhere in her own van, while Paris and Benji walked around the parks and up the Fastpass line just like everyone else.

I never saw a celeb while I was there which I thought was really funny considering it's a regular thing for me to see someone famous with the kind of work that I do.
