Has an announcement been made about the return date for Clyde & Seamore? We will be there the week of March 23rd. TIA

Not that I know of, but as a pass member I got a save the date for a pass member preview the last weekend of February. So late March should be good.

Thank you Rob. My kids look forward to 2 things at Sea World. 1 - Feeding the dolphins and 2 - Clyde and Seamore show (they are going to hate that the mimes are gone :( )

You may want to keep an eye out for the construction updates at Dolphin Cove also. It is scheduled to reopen in late February (or some time frame around then) but I am not sure if they are on track to open or not. The experience will be changing, I am not 100% sure to what, but it will not be the same feeding as it once was.

My understanding is the feeding the dolphins area will now be a more hands on experience with an upcharge once they have finished the renovations. Essentially it won't be the overcrowded free-for-all it is now. Of course this is just what I have read on other sites.

I am curious as to what "other sites" are talking about this.

Please bear in mind this is Screamscape so take it for what its worth. While they tend get things wrong sometimes they do get a lot of things right. I also read the same thing on another site but cannot seem to locate it but they may have gotten their info from Screamscape as well.

Screamscape sources have explained why there was some question regarding the length of the dolphin exhibit at SeaWorld Orlando. I’m told that prior to the layoffs and financial shakedown the park experienced last month, there WAS a longer plan in the works that would have seen some of the “beach” themed areas removed in favor of expanding and updating the habitat. In the wake of the chain's current problems, the rehab was shorted to it’s current form that will see it reopen in late February instead.
However, the heart of the change is apparently still in place, which will be of interest to everyone. The Key West Dolphin Cove will be under new management… kinda… instead of being under the control of the park’s Animal Care department, I’m told that the Animal Training department will be taking it over, with some major new operational changes. The old feeder booth will be closed, so guests will no longer be able to buy trays of fish and feel the dolphins. Instead the rumored plan will see the Animal Training department run a section of the attraction as a Premium style Interaction experience package, where guests can pay for a lengthy experience to learn in depth about what it takes to take care of, and train these animals, which will where all the feeding of the dolphins will take place from now on. Expect to see sections of the habitat blocked off from public access for these experiences to take place in, though there will still be a place for regular guests to walk up to the side of the tank and attempt to touch the dolphins… it will just be a lot harder to get their attention away from the trainers and new guest interaction program guests who will have all the food.

Interesting, to say the least. Thanks for the info!

So to give you an update. I just seen the area this past weekend. They are re landscaping the area. The pool area has been painted and resealed. They were working on the coral on Saturday getting it repainted and cleaning it up. It looks pretty much done so I would say its on track for the end of Feb opening. i will try and post pictures of what its looking like later when I get off. The dolphin feeding sign came down this weekend too.

There will be a pass member preview on Saturday Feb 28. Not sure if there will be some soft show openings before then, but unless the preview does not go well I would expect shows to resume shortly after the 28th.
