Well, there is an audition for male singers for Club Villain this coming Wednesday.Ok, not sure how accurate the info is, but I thought I'd give you what I have.
DH and I attended Club Villain on May 21 and heard from 3 separate people that Club Villain will be back. One bartender, one server and one "manager type" person all indicated that it will be brought back. According to all three of them, it was designed as a temporary thing since they weren't sure how popular it would be. If you've been, you can see that some of the decorations and things are not quite up to Disney standards (the wall decorations mostly) so now they want to make it more permanent, like the building was made just for this party. Apparently, they are re-doing some of the decorations to make them look permanent while still enabling them to take things down and use the space for other things. They also said that they may find a way to limit how young the children are who come; like 13 and up instead of people bringing their infants.
Again, not sure how accurate this info is, but I hadn't heard it before, so I thought I'd mention it.
SO happy to see this! Thanks for posting that link!!Well, there is an audition for male singers for Club Villain this coming Wednesday.

We went twice and had different Konzo's and they were both excellent. I wouldn't worry about a different one. The point of the auditions is to hire singers that are all similar. Both in appearance and sound.I really hope it comes back too! We saw it in May and it was awesome! It's a bit sad to see they're casting for Kanzo as his performance was awesome. Loved the villans too --- they really were awesome and very in character (Cruella especially.) I'd love to go back on our December trip!
Probably the simplest way to deal with the kids/adults issue is to have the 5:45 show be for all ages and the 9:15 for adults/older kids.
I hope it comes back - I was keeping a night open for it in case it's there on our trip. I hope there's no age limit though - my daughter is 3 and loves the villains! Princesses are her #1, but villains rank right up there. We're going to MNSSHP, but there's just not enough hours to meet everyone and do everything and this is the first year in a while that we won't be doing two parties.
I hope the villain event does return, but will DEFINITELY SKIP IT if there's an age restriction. DD9 and DS11 (ages now) did PftS in 2014, have done MANY other WDW events for years now, and eat in decidedly "not kid restaurants" all the time.
If we can't bring them to this -- assuming it even returns! -- we'll pick something else to do. And if DH and I want a night out just us, this isn't what we'd choose, however cool it sounds. Character events are family events for us. Seems a silly place for an age restriction to me.
Why would there need to be an age restriction? All the kids at Club Villain the night we went in February had a blast! The dancers in the performances are slightly risqué, but it's not anything a kid hasn't seen in a pop music performance before.
Is it likely that the ticket price will increase?
This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. We've paid more than that for the kids to do F&W events, WAT, Star Wars VIP Tour, and several others. The manager-type CM said that the whole premise for Club Villain is that it is an underground club and kids aren't usually allowed in a club. It's supposed to be an adult event. The price point was deliberate; they didn't think people would pay $99 or $129 for a child under 13 and even then, they didn't think there would be many who would pay that much for 13 and up.
I don't mean to offend, but isn't this about what customers/guests want, and not how some CMs may or may not feel? There were about 50 little kids there on our night (several infants as well) and I can see how the CM's felt it took away from the atmosphere.

"Underground club" not for kids... With people in cartoon villain costumes... ok... Seems ridiculous to me.

Sounds like an issue with enforcing rules to me.
