Club Villain

I was able to get them to apply the DVC discount for the 5:45 seating in May, but it took a lot of hold time while the CM figured it out with a supervisor. I'm super excited as this is our second try at attending...the last time we booked was in February during the Glass Slipper Challenge and not only was I tired but also flu-ridden and unable to eat. I was heartbroken at having to cancel, but this will hopefully make up for it!

So quick question. My AP expired March 23, but I will be purchasing a new one when I come in May, will i be able to get the discount for the May 28th Party if I get the AP May 25/Can I get the discount now (since I'm still within the renewal period for my AP)? TIA! I was still able to get an AP room discount online.

We've snagged two reservations, but are a party of four. Hoping, that something opens up.

While the CM and supervisor were figuring it out, did they happen to mention if the discount was available for the 5:45 show only on certain dates, or maybe even only for DVC?

Unfortunately they didn't mention the details...I booked through DVC Member Services and went into it asking for the DVC discount, so I'm not even sure if t was supposed to apply for that day and time to begin with! Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Tried calling again yesterday and this time the CM was able to credit back $30 pp for AP discount. If at first you don't succeed, hang up and call again!

She also confirmed that the discount was only valid at the 9pm shows, as expected.

So if I call DVC, I can get the 5:45 show for the discount? Am I reading this correctly? On the DVC page it doesn't mention anything about you only doing the 9pm.

Just left my 2nd CV. This may have been even better than the first time as we had a table on the stage. Lots of great interactions during the performances. DGD8 danced so much she didn't want to stop for dessert

Oddest thing though, as the show ended they told us last bus left in 10 min. Hard to do from the back of the park. I think he said that to make folks rush out

We were at the 5:45 CV and it was great! My kids 5/9 had fun as well although the 9 year old will not admit it!

First - there were plenty of kids there - I can't imagine it was less than 30 kids - about 15 were young girls that danced a ton. And the performers totally catered to them (sometimes that made me jealous - I wanted more time! But they were SOOO good with them!).

2 things I didn't see posted yet -
We had the very first meet with tHe Queen and I wasn't quite in the groove yet - didn't get all the photos I wanted as she was my favorite. They let me back In line at the end of the night to get more (she had no line while others did) and she also posed a ton for us without anyone in the photo.

As soon as we entered / our server walked up to me to let me know that they had chicken nugget, mac cheese, and corn out back for the kids if they needed it and to let him know when. After my kids tried everything - we did end up asking for a side of corn for DD and a side of Mac n cheese for DS to compliment the beef and other items they were eating. I liked that he never told my kids that there was anything back there as they both tried new foods but it was also good to know that They could eat a full meal there with these extras. I had heard that this extra food option was possible but didn't expect it to be so freely offered.

AngiTN - I can see how a seat by the stage was even more awesome! We were at Table 7 which was not 'stage side'. And I also expect that the last bus comment was just to encourage you not to linger!

We had a great time - when we left, we practically walked into TSM and then waited for the fireworks (sat opposite the desert party by the and headed out!

For those that have gone recently, would you say it's becoming more kid-oriented? This has sounded like more of an adult-type experience up until now and while I adore kids, I was looking forward to a more adult vibe at this event. Our kiddo will be enjoying Sandcastle Club while we attend CV, and I am hoping it hasn't lost that more mature experience that people have talked about.

They haven't changed any aspects of the show from what I have seen previously - but I didn't really think it was all that 'adult' just because the dancing was sultry or there were drinks or a high price point - so I am not sure I am a good judge here.

I've been twice , at the start and this weekend and it's the same both times, nothing had changed. It's Disney. Other than V&A I think everything here is kid friendly. Kids will be there of that I'm certain

I agree 100%. I never felt it was an adult experience. Network TV is more sultry

Fair enough! Other reviewers had said that it definitely was an "adult" theme, that they had been somewhat surprised to see kids there, and that they didn't really think it was kid-oriented, so I wanted to know what to expect.

I saw those reviews and didn't understand it myself. I guess some equate alcohol as not kid friendly but I don't. The characters area great with kids and adults alike in my opinion

Matter of fact, my first visit was with only dh, no kids. Thus last visit I had DGD8 with me. Both were equally as fun.

I really believe that this night will be what you make of it - don't think twice about it still being fun for you if your drop off your kiddo at the sandcastle club - it will still be great!!

Now - whether there will be any adults dancing to the Harlem Shake is another story!

I have tickets to 9:00pm Club Villain on May 28 (the park closing at 10pm; SWF at 9:45 Fantasmic 10:30) do you think that it's worth missing the Star Wars Fireworks and Fantasmic (on this trip) to go to CV, should I cancel CV or should I attempt to work my schedule over to fit the Fireworks & Fantasmic in another night?

I would not cancel CV, it's amazing and you may not get another chance to do it!

That may be the last night of the existing SW fireworks, however, if the new show starts as planned, so if you are a big SW fan I'd try to work them in another night. Or stalk an earlier CV ADR.

Hmm I guess we can see them the first night we get there or on our AK day (if ROL is still failing to open)
