I really hope they continue to extend this.
Me too!
I really hope they continue to extend this.
I was able to get them to apply the DVC discount for the 5:45 seating in May, but it took a lot of hold time while the CM figured it out with a supervisor. I'm super excited as this is our second try at attending...the last time we booked was in February during the Glass Slipper Challenge and not only was I tired but also flu-ridden and unable to eat. I was heartbroken at having to cancel, but this will hopefully make up for it!
Unfortunately they didn't mention the details...I booked through DVC Member Services and went into it asking for the DVC discount, so I'm not even sure if t was supposed to apply for that day and time to begin with! Sorry I can't be more helpful. While the CM and supervisor were figuring it out, did they happen to mention if the discount was available for the 5:45 show only on certain dates, or maybe even only for DVC?
For those that have gone recently, would you say it's becoming more kid-oriented? This has sounded like more of an adult-type experience up until now and while I adore kids, I was looking forward to a more adult vibe at this event. Our kiddo will be enjoying Sandcastle Club while we attend CV, and I am hoping it hasn't lost that more mature experience that people have talked about.
I've been twice , at the start and this weekend and it's the same both times, nothing had changed. It's Disney. Other than V&A I think everything here is kid friendly. Kids will be there of that I'm certainFor those that have gone recently, would you say it's becoming more kid-oriented? I agree 100%. I never felt it was an adult experience. Network TV is more sultryThey haven't changed any aspects of the show from what I have seen previously - but I didn't really think it was all that 'adult' just because the dancing was sultry or there were drinks or a high price point - so I am not sure I am a good judge here.
I saw those reviews and didn't understand it myself. I guess some equate alcohol as not kid friendly but I don't. The characters area great with kids and adults alike in my opinionFair enough! Other reviewers had said that it definitely was an "adult" theme, that they had been somewhat surprised to see kids there, and that they didn't really think it was kid-oriented, so I wanted to know what to expect.
I would not cancel CV, it's amazing and you may not get another chance to do it!I have tickets to 9:00pm Club Villain on May 28 (the park closing at 10pm; SWF at 9:45 Fantasmic 10:30) do you think that it's worth missing the Star Wars Fireworks and Fantasmic (on this trip) to go to CV, should I cancel CV or should I attempt to work my schedule over to fit the Fireworks & Fantasmic in another night?

That may be the last night of the existing SW fireworks, however, if the new show starts as planned, so if you are a big SW fan I'd try to work them in another night. Or stalk an earlier CV ADR.
