Club level - beer and wine options?

Just wondering, if you want a glass of wine or a beer and it's NOT within their stated 5 to 7 pm, will they serve you one? At Disney resorts they do, as well as our many (over 30) stays at Ritz Carlton hotels they do. Is Universal strict about this? I hate to try to be on their schedule, as we may be out and get back at 7:30 or 8:00 and want a glass of wine. Or a beer at 3:30pm? The club deluxe room at PBH was only about $40 more per night than the deluxe room for our dates.

In our experience, they are quite strict. Bar set up starts promptly at 5 and take down starts promptly at 7.

If you want a thing outside their stated hours:

1. tip well (yes, club staff can accept tips at Universal)
2. be discreet. don't do something dumb like ask them in front of other guests who will then expect the same. if they do accommodate you, don't flaunt the out-of-hours alcohol in front of other guests.
3. do not throw a hissy fit if they can't accommodate you; club staff will not hesitate to get upper mgt involved for unruly guests

Other option is to save the $ 40 a just purchase a glass of wine or a beer before you walk up to the room. I hate to be on a time schedule when I am on vacation.
