Please tell me what to expect. I was warned once I go club, I won't go back... but that doesn't worry me. DD asked, since this is a trip for her birthday, if she could stay on a floor where she needs a key to get there. How is the lounge?

We're trying to work our way through all the resorts, and technically this a new resort for us... but we still get our favorite pool.

How about the buses to MK... do they hit BC, YC, BW, AND Swan/Dolphin?

This property has a small lounge so it tends to be packed during high seasons. If you are going during an off time then it'll be more enjoyable. CMs at the desk are typically nice. The ones that replenish the offerings usually don't speak. Maybe they don't want to intrude. The offerings aren't as large as some other resorts, but will still be acceptable.

When we stayed there the bus was shared between BC/YC only. I believe BW was sharing with S/D. Every so often I hear about the dreaded all in one bus for Epcot resorts but I think that's the exception to the rule. I've not had any bus issues with either three of those properties.

Best wishes for your DDs b-day trip! :wizard:

Expect a wonderful time!!!!

We got back at the beginning of this month...we loved our stay!

* Bus service to MK was great..we never waited long...and on the way back you get off first!

*The CM's on this level were wonderful, went out of their way, very friendly with our DD.

*Lounge never seemed that busy..some folks hung out in there, some just got their drinks and snacks and left

*AThe ONLY time we stopped at all the Epcot resorts was on the way back from AK...it was ok with us cause DD was napping

You are SO right about wanting to go back once on CL....we had a great experience also with their IPO..they bought gifts (I picked out/charged my CC) and they had them in our room..Make sure they know its DD's b day as well!!
Hope you have a great time...we loved it!

We're arriving down there on the Wednesday after Food and Wine ends (darn it)... how crowded will it probably be?

We'll be at the YC cl on 11/14 :) (Splitting between there and cl at the GF beforehand. Ds turns 13 on the 11th so it's a bd trip for him - dd was there back in january when she turned 8)

We have stayed here many times and really enjoyed it. The staff has been great and no complaints. As far as the crowd levels - who knows?? There doesn't seem to be any real slow times anymore, but that week shouldn't be too bad. The weather can be up and down. We have been in November before when it was warm enough to swim - and also cold enough that you needed jackets - and sometimes all in the same day!

See you there! :)

Disney definitely appears to have recovered from the Post 9/11 downturn in visitors.

However, we're usually there around Easter and it is SO crowded then. I'm just hoping it's not THAT crowded.

I dont think it will be THAT crowded! :)

We were there after Labor Day...we pratically had SAB to ourselves!!! I am serious! Everyone seems to clear out after Monday!! it was great!! The CM's on the CL said alot of times the hotel may be busy, but not as much on the CL...just depends!! I think you guys will be fine:)

It will not be as crowded as Easter!!!!!! Club level at Yacht is small but I am one of those who spent at lot of time in the lounge. Most people grab and go so I didn't find it hard to find a spot and relax. DH golfs and I would go into the lounge with my book and sit and leisurely eat my snacks and soda. DH knew to find me there when he returned from his golf. The CM's at the concierge desk were amazing, the nicest CM's I've ever met. We already had our ADR's but still used them for advice and information for future trips.

What kinds of things do they offer in the lounge?

Having never stayed CL before, I'm SO full of questions... some of which will probably be stupid, but I'm sure I'll ask anyway.

Can they help me with seating for meals? Can't remember if it's still called PS or not. I seem to remember, in the back of my mind, dealing with CL (concierge level once upon a time, right?) for my boss in getting Chef Mickey's and such.

ADR'S...Advanced Dining Reservations!

Yes they can assist you with these!!

For breakfast...juice, coffee..cereals, bagels...breads and fruit

Snacks and sodas in the afternoon...

They were appetizers in the evening...usually one hot one...spare ribs I recall...wine..beer..
And desserts and after dinner drinks til 10 I think.

We were very lucky and had a room steps from the lounge:) And elevators...that was great with a little one!

I remember peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the kids section almost every day. And there was always veggies and dips because I had that every day for lunch!!!

In the morning they generally had bagels and cream cheese/jelly with a toaster available, pastries, banana bread, cereal, and fruit as well as oj, coffee, and milk.
In the afternoon, they had cookies, goldfish, mixed nuts, and a pretzel/chex mix snack as well as lemonade, soda, water, etc...
At 5pm, they had hot and cold appetizer offerings. Our favorite was the sundried tomato hummus w/ pita bread. They also had different offerings each night. One night they had fish and chips :) They also usually have a soup, veggies and dip, cheese, uncrustable PB & J sandwiches, etc.
After 7:30 they had alcholic beverages and dessert offerings as well as soda, lemonade, etc...

It was our first time staying club level and it was WONDERFUL to have breakfast available right there for you so there was no time being wasted getting to a park bright and early :thumbsup2

Our room faced the parking lot/bus area which turned out to be a GREAT view as every night we got to see WISHES perfectly from our balcony (without the music) :yay: :cool1: :goodvibes

I received an email from the IPO asking for what I'd like for dining - sent them my requests, but haven't heard back from them... how long do they usually take?
