We have AKV-CL on Halloween. Will we be able to use the lounge until Nov 1at 11:59pm even though we'll be checking out of CL and checking into Savanna view? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but how does this work?

Yes. They will take you up to the club level lounge when you are checking in and they will tell you that you can use the lounge the next day up until midnite. It was a great feature when changing rooms at AKL.

You are going to have to ask them at the desk because your bands will only recognize your new room. We just had this happen to us. I assumed, and other confirmed, that we could have asked to have a card that would have given us access to CL for the day. We didn't really care to use the lounge that evening so I didn't pursue it but we were told by the CM that our band would only recognize our new room once we checked out of CL and into our new room.

I did not have this happen end of January. Concierge checked me out and then checked me into my new room. I was able to use my Magic Band both for my new room and to get back up to the lounge.

In 2014 when I stayed CL they gave me a card for the elevator.

This time, my MB worked for both once I checked into the 2nd room.

I used two different sets MBs for the time I did this. Just keep the 2nd MB in my pocket to use the elevator to get to the lounge.
