We pretty much have an open invitation to Club 33 but haven't used it. We have 2 young children and no babysitting. I just cannot imagine the stress I would experience taking them there. We are from out of state and plan to visit DLR once or twice per year. I'm hoping that we'll go within the next year or two.
Also, I've just never been a big fan of fancy restaurants. I LOVE quality food, don't get me wrong but I just don't love food enough to pay that much money for it. I've done it before and it's never felt worth it for me. Plus my DH has food allergies and is very limited as to what he can eat at restaurants. Although, he does have better luck at nicer places who are willing to cook something especially for him.
I think that if for no other reason I'd like to go because of the history of the place. For a Disney enthusiast like me that would be pretty special.
Merryecho, I hope you have luck in finding a sponsor. A DLR trip in itself sounds pretty darn special for a birthday celebration. And then getting to bring along friends. Your DD is a very lucky girl!
