Club 33?

I love the Club! I had the best lobster tail I've ever had last year there, unbelievable. I've only gone for lunch once, and it was years ago, but that was my first time there and it was amazing!

My co-worker had the opportunity to go a few months ago and thought it was overrated, though, so take it as you will...I personally love the place!

Have fun! If you drink wine, try the Fess Parker Pinot Noir...

brocklesnar- THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! That video is so awesome it made me want to cry. I so wish I could find a way to experience Club 33, its been my dream since I was a little kid and first learned about it, that video was a nice way to pretend.

I wonder if I asked Disney if I could get a preview before I chose to buy a membership if that could be worked out :rotfl2:

Or maybe I can find a member who would take pity on me and let me buy them dinner? Or maybe who wants to trade a baby for the experience, I mean I don't have any kids but there all over the place I am sure I could find one to trade :lmao: Offering internal organs and limbs did get me a concert ticket once :rotfl: (No really the guy thought it was a funny offer so let me keep my organs and sold me his extra ticket for Face Value instead of the $800 the scaplers wanted).

Thank you again everyone for sharing their experiences, I feel like I am living vicariously through you all.

Hey no problem. To be honest, that is the absolute BEST video of Club 33 I have ever seen. All the other ones are very boring. Or the graphics suck so you cant see anything. Or its too dark. Or they spend 20 minutes filming people eating.

But this one is absolutaly lovely. Its really great! :cloud9:

Well this is something that I know about. We are members of the Club.

I do believe that the experience is totally worth it and if you can afford it, GO FOR IT.

When you go with your friend, DO NOT mention that you won it at an auction type function - this is prohibited. Members pay yearly annual dues, but no monthly fees. I have also heard that Nicholas Cage is a member, I haven't seen him (I have only been a handful of times), but you never know.

I am sure you are going to have a blast. Enjoy yourself.

Candace

Oh nooooooo, I would never mention I got it at an auction! Ssshhh! Actually, I have known the member for quite some time, and didn't know she was a member until we were putting on this charity event for our children's school. She would have taken me eventually anyway once I found out!! Because I would have bugged her to death! :rotfl: She'll be there as well, just sitting separately from me and scrappinmom. (and maybe my kids, and maybe my parents...)

Thanks for the dress code, I have read that somewhere before. I am too excited about going NOT to make it something special!! Are ya kiddin'?

That is the coolest thing!! Ever!! I even got teary eyed! Fairycat, I chuckled when you said you choked up... right up until the end, when the music swelled...:sad1:

On a side note, do any of you members know how to get the Club 33 ears? From the case inside the entryway? Gotta get me some of those...!:cool2: What other good Club 33 stuff do they sell?

Yes, all of the souvenir items are in the case. They have a difficult time keeping the ears in stock -- they seem to sell out as soon as a shipment comes in. They usually have polo-style shirts, keychains, lapel pins, and coffee mugs. Though the pins are just as popular as the ears and often sell out as well. Sometimes they have wine glasses or brandy snifters, golf balls, wine bottle openers, fancy pens, watches, etc. There is a fair amount of Club 33 40th anniversary merchandise there right now as the Club celebrated its 40th anniversary last June.

Thank you so much! I have a Disneyland-themed guest bath in my house, and was thinking of making a shelf have some Club 33 items, or a Club 33 shadowbox to put there or elsewhere! If there are no ears in when I go, I'll see if my member friend can check again for me on a future visit.

DH has his Stanley Cup memorabilia- I'll have my Club 33! :cool1:

Sounds like my DGF, 1 bedroom dedicated to Disney stuff. Our 25th is coming up in 3 weeks and she wanted to be able to find a friend for an invite if we can get there this August. So far no luck...maybe we will go to
Europe instead, it is easier to get into some of the private poker clubs than it is Club 33.

DGF really enjoyed the video.

Thanks,

Jack

loved the video! Thanks for sharing that.....

yep I'm pretty excited about the merchandise as well...oldest dd is a pin collector sort of...she's already put in her request. ....& of course I could use ears, a pin, a shirt, a wine glass, a x and a ? and another one...haha :rotfl: oh heck...just give me 2 of everything

oh man I absolutely  the video...when I saw mickey come down the stairs I started bawling...I gasped when I saw him :lmao: I felt like I actually was in there...thank you soooooooooooo much for showing the video....I would totally be happy just going in and going up and down the elevator once:rotfl2:

Loved the video, thanks for sharing. I wish I was that lucky!!!

What other good Club 33 stuff do they sell?

On our recent visit to Club 33, we picked up two different pins, one that was a traditional one, and one for the 40th anniversary. I also bought a polo shirt, but I have not convinced myself to wear it yet:rotfl2:

If any one see's an auction for a club 33 invite, pm please, I would be willing to offer a bid or charitable donation.

Thanks,

Jack

What a cool video, I could even see the table we sat at (in the corner by the windows). It really is such a special experience, I sure hope were able to do it again some day!

We bought a nice wine glass that has the Club 33 logo on it, as well as a gold Key Chain. Wanted the Mickey ears but they were out!

Silly Little Pixie, I had posted to you on another thread about Club 33, but I can't find that thread now. My searching skills may just be lacking though. You had posted that you were getting the opportunity to go, and I asked if you had gone yet, because I was getting to go as well, and I wanted to know how your experience was, and you said you hadn't been yet. I see from this thread you and Scrappinmom will be going soon. Well, I went over the weekend. And it was wonderful. Everything I expected. We went for Sunday lunch. It was partial buffet and a plated entree. Mickey and Pluto came out to the tables. The food and service were wonderful. I am so thankful to my friend that got us in.

Hi LillyBelle - HOW EXCITING!!!! Yep we are going this Sunday for dinner I believe. Do you have pictures??? I'd love to see them!!!! Did you spend the day in the parks? What did you wear? I think that's my biggest problem...I keep unpacking what I "thought" I was going to wear and re-packing something else!
