Although so many people dream of having dinner at Club 33, I do hope that the memberships aren't terminated. My family often talks and makes bets on how long it we might sit on the waiting list before receiving a membership offer!

There are some items there which were very special to Walt, such as a table from Mary Poppins, right? I think that this place should remain what it is to so many, a mystery!

Plus, if everyone were able to go, doesn't that sort of defeat Walt's original purpose of Club 33?

I think you just made 33 Guy's point for him without realizing it.

Anybody can join D23 and pay to attend a D23 event held at Club 33. So, yes, everyone can in essence get to go to Club 33 without having an expensive and exclusive membership into the club. That does defeat Walt's original purpose of having Club 33 and that's what 33 Guy is upset about.

33Guy you are a very special person for helping out jkh1978 and have renewed my faith in people's ability to be caring and generous (something that I seem to lose when I watch the nightly news). I had the great fortune to go to Club 33 when I was a child as a guest of a friend of a friend of my dad's and those have always been special memories; I would give quite a bit to go back just once more. I can certainly understand why you are so upset and IMHO, you have a right to be because as you said, it is no longer and exclusive club that the price would suggest and it was designed to be. Unfortunately it seems like whatever will make the most money is the option that wins when discussing the parks (the new generation of room passes/fast passes that they want to roll out at WDW springs to mind). My sympathies to you and my most good wishes towards you for your generous gift.

jkh1978, I hope you and your wife have a wonderfully "magical" trip at Christmas and be sure to take lots of photos to share here please!!!!

Just so you know another non member function tonight. I wish I did not have a membership maybe I would have gotten an invitation. Looks like we are paying to stay out.

Excuse me? I'm sure you did get an invitation to last night's event. It was NOT a nonmember function. It was a Club 33 function where the member plus up to 3 guests could attend.

You can be as upset as you'd like about the changes, but at least give out the correct info.

Well I am glad to hear this one was a member event, thank you for the correction, I not have not received an invitation since the new member services took over, wish i did. Been other problems as well. You might hear something of the new Club 33 experience, does not sound like it is going to be for us.

Then you need to get on the phone and speak with someone at numbers they provide for the members. If you're just "hearing" of things after the fact and not letting the management know, how are they supposed to fix something that might be broken.

Monday night's dinner event was for the anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean; very well attended and a fun time had by many. Definitely an increase in cost from previous events.

I want to thank you for your generosity! I figured once you posted you'd get lots of pm's - lol.

One day my husband and I hope to be able to experience club 33. but for our upcoming trip we will have 3 young kids with us and I would rather it be an adults only experience. Hopefully once we get another chance to visit California in 5-10 years we will be able to find someone to attend with!
