Clowning Around on the Boardwalk! A Wigdout Trip report

Great updates, Anita! I can't believe that you guys only have 2 weeks of school left - we have 3, but 2 of them are only 4 days long. You'll be onto the first part of your Disney trip before we even get out of school! :rotfl:

I need to finish up the last day of my TR soon, the last few weeks of school are so busy, and it's got to get done before we leave for the June trip! ;)

MeMom, I found more Japan pictures....

That's it....

Ok this next one is staged if you can't tell.....

these ladies had on matching jackets in the wheel chairs.
I wanted Marc to get their pictures, I figured mother and daughter.
For the longest time they were just sitting there in the chairs by themselves then the man showed up.
I have no idea still if he was going to push them off on his own....

Don't you like the way I'm waving to Shocker to take my picture?:confused3

Now on to DHS!

It was St. Patrick's Day.
We had a facebook greeting to create and send!
Sooooo we paid Bo a visit and sent his main girl Chelsea a message!

DSCN0920.jpg

Then we rode TOT.

DSCN0922.jpg

After our ride we made our way back out of the park stopping to visit with "Mr Hollywood".

DSCN0925.jpg

Do you notice that he isn't wearing any green?
I decided that he needed a pinch.

So there I went....

DSCN0926.jpg

He hollars "Lady what are you doing"?
I reply, "Pinching you, It's St. Patrick's Day you aren't wearing green".
He answered "it's my underwear, they were white 3 days ago but I haven't changed them, now they are green".
Ewwwww!

With that we walked back to Boardwalk shaking our heads....

Aw the fairy houses are so cute.

No Anita I did not notice the smokers when we used the private entrance. And I probably would have noticed because I cannot stand the smell!! We even took the "water view" walk back one day just to say we did it.

I thought of you often while we were there. I absolutely LOVED my mini hipster. I carried it all week & will use it every trip. It held everything I needed & is just the right size.

I also had a "Lost On Safari" at AK & have to say I was very "HAPPY" after I drank it:) It was the strongest drink I had all week. Sidenote: Do not go shopping after having a Lost On Safari :lmao: You WILL spend $$$.

Michelle-I wore my Slushie Lushie tag with pride!!:) My DH took a pic of me with my Lost on Safari & my lushie tag. I will post it on my TR. We love British Invasion also. We saw them twice this trip. I also took a small video from my phone.

Those baby ducks are just so cute. I also showed DH the pic:thumbsup2

Now what DID you have planned for St Patty's Day??????

Just love the pictures from Flower and Garden, those little fairy houses are just adorable!!!

Got to love the ladies with the pink jackets!!! LOL!!!!

Lepracaun Bo!!! YAY!!! I remember seeing that on FB and getting such a hoot out of it!!!! Still adorable....dressing up Bo...those possibilities are endless LOL!!!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: I just ADORE the streetmosphere people they are the best ever!!!! Ewww...to the green underwear comment, but hilarious none the less!!!!! Next trip, I'm going to go interact with one of them!!! It's on my list of things to do LOL!

Another fabulous update from a fabulous lady!!!

Doreen, St. Pat's update just above your comment...
You must have lucked out on the smokers, normally we walk in holding our breath. They are lined up puffing away just after the gift shop....

The "Lost on Safari" was one that Marc helped me with or I would have been lost wandering around AK!:rotfl2:
I am prepared to spend some time with British Invasion this trip!
I'm happy Baylor is excited to see them :goodvibes.

The slushie lushie club is growing! That's sooo cool!
Thanks for the input about your mini hipster!
I need to start packing and make sure I get all my VB in first!

Ewwwww about the underware! That's just

Love what you did with Bo - too funny

The green comment was just a little over the top....
IF a certain someone was on FB they would have seen the Bo pic on St. Patrick's Day.
:sad2:

Now, MeMom, here are your Japan pictures that we took for you.
We sure are late in getting them posted.

MeMom, that's the end of the Japan photos.
Sorry, it's past your unit....:sad2:

Thanks for the pictures. I was going to get a bunch myself, but sadly, we didn't make it around World Showcase. Time and temperature factors were not in our favor.

What did you think about the Princess and the Frog Bayou section??
Just curious of your impressions.

I was disappointed with the bayou section. They could have done so much more than put up the cutouts.
Why not some topiaries?
It' Disney, it' supposed to be magical, awesome, spectacular.
Not mediocre.
That's what is was...

I agree with that. Brooklynn enjoyed the hands-on activities. Those were fun, but as far as there just being cut-outs, I thought that was weak for a Disney display.

Wow you are cranking those updates out. We have 15 days left, including our workday. While I :lovestruc summer... all the retirements (principal and my half day partner) and having a great class leave makes me pretty sad. I still have no idea about next year either... but I look forward to your updates live to get me through that last week!

That summer kitchen would be awesome by a pool...

I love the fairy houses! So cute!
And the green underwear comment
I wish my allergies weren't so terrible. I'd love to go for F&G.

The African daisies like "full sun, 8+ hours of daily sun, tolerates hot, dry conditions". That's why I picked these for the flower bed by the front door. In the summer it gets direct sunlight from about noon until sundown. We live in a "Cat in the Hat" neighborhood (that's what my oldest DD Katie calls it! All the houses are close together and no yard. LOL) so we have no nice, old trees to provide shade. I've got a magnolia tree in the front yard but I'll probably be dead and gone befoer it gets to be a decent size.

I agree about the bayou garden. When I saw the pictures the first thing that came to mind was "Wow...that's pretty lame". Wonder why they didn't do topiaries instead?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: about the Streetmosphere guy! That was gross but funny! The best part about that picture is the look on the guys face behind you!

Love the pic of Bo:thumbsup2 He has the green on but Mr. Underwear-EWWW!!
Mr. Hollywood was really funny though, the next time you see him, take out your camera and take a picture, of something or someone without him in it to get his reaction. It's a hoot!

All of a sudden I have to get the TR written before we leave and I don't know how I'm going to get it all in....

Do you know who your principal is going to be next year?
Will you be half day again?
I'm sure saying goodbye to a great class will be sad....
Just think though, you have a trip in 4 weeks!

I love all your updates! It makes me want to go back and have our Epcot do-over even more!
I hope you manage to have that do-over one of these days!

I wish my allergies weren't so terrible. I'd love to go for F&G.
I have the perfect area in my backyard for some of those fairy houses...
I've let it go a little wild.
Hmmmmmm.
Do you think if you took Claritin you would be able to manage the allergies?

The "Lost on Safari" was one that Marc helped me with or I would have been lost wandering around AK!:rotfl2:

Hmmmm, so many people have made comments like this about the Lost on Safari, but I didn't have any trouble with it at all - wonder what that says about me?????? :rolleyes1

IF a certain someone was on FB they would have seen the Bo pic on St. Patrick's Day.:sad2:

I know, I know.........

I know, I know.........

I guess the fact that you had no trouble with the Lost on Safari means you have a strong constitution.....

Bwahahaha on FB...

Claritin and Zyrtec may work. Along with eye drops and a visit to the doc before the trip. Something to think about...

How long is your Disney cruise next month?

MeMom whipped that fall report out in record time. Now most of your report is just the pictures to go with the texting you sent me... so I know what happens, which I like. (and expect this trip too...ha ha)

My end of the year list ... not the formal checklist is killing me already. This week is our buildings birthday (20 years) so we have lots of stuff. Plus I have a book to make for my partner with the kids, but I can't touch that till assessments are done.

No idea on the principal. Our assistant would like it, and I know I could work for her. The problem is I have worked for ten years for my principal and bought a retirement card a month ago, and still have not wrote it. I try to stay in denial... or I cry. It is hard to be a "favorite" and know that you might not be next time, especially when you are only part time.

As for half day... I am pretty sure they will leave me with that, probably in my building. No one knows with who or when I will firmly know anything. But we rifted a lot of teachers (and we are a growing district) and have more cuts ahead before school starts.

I am trying not to worry... there is much worse things that can/could happen.

If you think you could do it with the meds and a Dr. visit, I'd recommend a F&G visit, it's that great!
The cruise is a 4 night.
Perfect way to start out in my opinion!

Laura, I'm sure whatever you have done to become a favorite of your currant principal you will continue to do to become a favorite of your new principal.
Not to worry!
We find out about RIF this Friday...
I'm anxious for that part to be over with!
Pretty sure there are going to be cuts for us too before this budget crisis comes to an end...

I thought the same thing about the Wedding Bayou when we were there. I got all excited when we saw the sign, then we walked in there and...:guilty: Uncharacteristically lame for Disney. It almost seems like it was an afterthought and then they just threw something together. :confused3
