Clothing/Food donations??

I know i'm up in NJ and may just donate to the Red Cross, but is there anyone in Fla looking for clothing, supplies or food donations? I'd send down whatever it is that was really needed.

I feel so helpless being so far away and not knowing what to do to help.....

The Red Cross has specifically stated that they need monetary donations, not things.

You can use your credit card and donate by going to the website: http://www.redcross.org or calling 1-800-HELP NOW. You can also send a donation to your local Red Cross to Disaster Relief for Hurricane Charley.

You may also want to consider donating blood if you haven't in a whle.

I remember after Hurricane Andrew when thousands of pounds of clothes were sent to Florida and sat there because there was no staff to sort and distrubute.
